Why This anime soooooooo UNDERRATED?

Alot of new sports anime are really good like SK8 and Aoashi, But why Love of Play is really underrated? I enjoy watching it and i like the story, animation and the character designs and the main character only i can hear is Hanae Natsuki (Tanjiro's CV).Anime fans need alot of attention to watch this badminton anime.

It’s a solid enough watch, but I wouldn’t call it underrated. Based on what I’ve seen so far I actually preferred Rymans Club. Enjoying it enough though, happy to see where it goes.

You know what the "Bad" in "Badminton" stands for? Yes, BAD. Jokes aside.
This is an average show. It's something to spend your weekend time with, but there's nothing interesting going on about it. So far it's very average, so not underrated.

I don't think it's underrated. It's fine but not that good and the animations during matches aren't the best either, in my opinion. Compared to Ryman's Club, the animations were always very strong during matches

Haven't watched the Ryman's Club yet because of reading that synopsis but I can ensure that I will like this one more just because it is a traditional Badminton Game Anime tho characters and plot are just average, one of the character which caught my eyes is Rika Mizushima, I wish I could have a sister like her :(
And by far I won't say it is underrated but it definitely deserves some more attention, right now a solid 7

(I mentioned Ryman's Club just because people were talking about that in this discussion form as well)

It’s not underrated, it’s not offensive nor is it the most exciting sports anime out there. It’s just standard - as it follows a set of (mostly) wholesome high school boys being part of a badminton team. With that said, Love All Play is well-animated over all.

The reason why most folks bring up Ryman’s Club is becuase it’s also a badminton anime which came out this year, with the difference being the characters consisting a bunch of salarymen working for a beverage company (based off Suntory). The characters alone are a draw for people to consider it since it offers a different perspective in sports anime. The matches in Ryman’s Club are generally good too - then again, Liden Films, the animation studio behind Ryman’s Club, have worked on Hanebado!, another badminton anime.

The animations fairly shit. Plus I reckon you’ll only really enjoy it if your into badminton. Especially just after Salaryman’s Club which was quite good.

Dear OP, if this show is your first introduction to badminton, you're really missing out on better shows.

Also, it's not really underrated, more like an easy forgettable show.

Agree. It started pretty good, but quickly began repetitive and monotonous.

In other way is hard to looking information about this because there was a korean drama with same title aired kn same time if you try search in google korean drama allwas show first

Yes, me too.

As others already wrote it is pretty average. And it becomes dull and monotonous from episode to next episode unfortunately.

Better watch Ryman's Club.

I'm a huge fan of sport anime. I'll watch any sport anime even if I don't know the sport,but come on this anime is terribly so average, the banter even the jokes are so boring...so unnatural. Forget about the boring characters what of the sports itself the animation is so average, nothing gets you excited just meh. I know badminton isn't a booring sport, but come on. No one is going to want to watch this after the first three episode. One thing I'll like to see is the main character's growth

Not underrated in any way really. The production is low-effort and even the story is boring(though that may vary from person to other person). Its a slideshow essentially.

Its one saving grace is that its not the worst sports show airing this season since Fanfare of Adolescence exists.

i think it underrated probably cause it focuses little more of the slice of life portion of their school life and the art not being the best. some of matches are basically slide shows

when you compare it salaryman's club from last season it seems like a step down.

the show is alright, its not bad but nothing to run home to preach about

lol i know this post was made long ago, and i kinda enjoy the anime enough to maybe give it a 7/8...but the preview for episode 13 actually made me wanna rate the anime MUCH lower
favorite "new girls" from summer <3 ... click sig for older seasons and more possible picks (rip all the other choices)
