Well, it turns out that this episode was the beginning of what seems to be a 3 episode finale for Part 6 and now we are left with more questions than we had before. This episode was very well storyboarded and it was a little trippy. I will definitely need another couple of watches after the season is over to piece together what everything in this episode was supposed to mean. We get more some more information about Tomoe, but again, there are more questions to ask now about her than answers. I am skeptical to call this a good Lupin episode, but depending on how the next two episodes shape out, it could very well be seen as a brilliant setup to what may be a satisfying conclusion to the Woman Arc.

This was an interesting episode in which we get a little backstory on Tomoe, but who is she? Is she a tutor that grooms and molds young girls into assassins? I guess we'll find out in the last two episodes.

It's insane how in the span of a week the series can go from mermaid fanfiction to a story where a teenager is raped and knocked up by her boyfriends friend and is brainwashed into thinking that that the guy who assaulted her was her boyfriend so she wouldn't have to deal with the trauma of the situation. Honestly not many Lupin stories come to mind that are nearly as dark as this.

I still don't really understand the ending where apparently Tomoe somehow made a girl kill both boys and then kill herself!? They were always talking about Tomoe and about how great she was and now suddenly she can manipulate people into shooting up schools and themselves, damm! The story keeps on getting better and better and every episode answers a few questions while bringing up several new ones, there's only 2 episodes to go but I still have no idea how it will eventually unfold, plus next weeks episode looks incredible from the preview!

I still can't really rate this episode properly cause it's essentially part 1 of the final 3 episodes so it moslty builds up suspense for the finale, but I will say that I loved the pacing and tone and although like episode 19 it doesn't feature the gang all that much and doesn't feel like a Lupin III episode, I think it was really good. Plus it got 10 times more emotion out of me at the end than the entirety of the Holmes story combined... The season 2 story in general has, in my opinion, been the saving grace of this Part.

There were quite a few terrifying things which happened in the episode. What would you say was the most terrifying aspect?

This episode really gave me the creeps, especially the old lady Anna, I thought she was going to snap or something like that. But I guess it ended om a good note and she was just senile, not under Tomoe’s control or anything like that.

Wonder if we'll get a S2 going by the pacing. Wouldn't mind a S2 to wrap things up.

Table has been reset, the mystery wanders. Trippy ep...to what end? And why now?

This ep was very artistic. It focused more on moods and emotions than a solid cohesive plot. I really enjoyed this episode, especially the darkness that surrounds Tomoe. The rape thing was obvious but them spelling it out combined with the murder was fascinating.

I hope they can bring home this season. The Sherlock Holmes part of this season was weak, but maybe this season can still be salvaged. This season, minus Homes, was pretty fun, but I wanted a proper successor to part V.

Wow it has some serious themes for the last part of the season, sexual assault murder etc along with the tapes and mysterious aspects, the episode felt destabilizing.

In the last 4 episodes we've had 3 which barely had Lupin appearing. Maybe for that reason this felt more like a Master Keaton episode, there was this strange mood throughout. It could be building up to something good, but now I'm just more confused by the developments. Tomoe is getting more and more students and it's increasingly difficult to understand what her agenda was or is, or whether she's alive, and how Mattea is related to all this.

Revonland seems to be a mixture of Iceland and Finland, mostly former, considering there were mountains, sheep, and a family called Sigurðsson. Northern lights were mentioned a few times. In Finnish they're called "Revontulet" (Fox's fires) so that's probably where the land got its name. It comes from the legend that the auroras are born when a fox tail hits the snow, throwing up sparks to the sky. The episode also had an arctic fox appearing in a couple of scenes, which reveals the approximate latitude to be quite far north.
