Seems they're building up the story into the finale arc for this episode.

On the other hand, I'm glad to see Amou doing better with his mental state, say..compared to the beginning of this season.

Kiryu Udou is the person expected to change Japan, and for all military heads to come together (Eurasian, Asian, Oceanic) to have a united Japan cooperation organization, I can only expect another huge Boundary War to happen for all 3 smaller military to join hands with Yatagarasu to face off the North American Coalition in the final track.

The reason: the prowess of the original AMAIM robots and their MAILeS pilots (Amou, Gashin, Nayuta). But this comes at a cost: trust, betrayal, backstabbing if the final decision is not set in stone to affect future generations. The current generation of adults have failed and led to a divided Japan, and this is their chance to get back what was lost to have a New Japan again for the people to live in peace.

With that, the New Japan Cooperation Organization is born, and the signing ceremony is a defining turning moment to reunite old enemies and friends. But most importantly, to get the American military, Amou is the key figure that unites them all as the original AMAIM pilot that started it all.

This will most likely end in a bloody war.

Convincing the other resistance factions is gonna be difficult thats for sure. Its interesting that the three talk about balance when the yanks are the one's whose actions are radically changing it. That is a good view that the adults have though. Fighting to create a world where the children can live freely is a most worthy goal. Its harsh but the rule about non immigration in the beginning does make sense. With no way to support them all they would do is waste res. Still seeing three major factions work together to create a new land is indeed a unique experience. The reunion between Amou and co and their former enemies proved to be most interesting. Brad though looks like he's starting to off the deep end. This upcoming meeting with the yanks smells like a trap. If they kill either Alexi or Amou then they can spin it off as some kind of internal conflict between them. But overall i really liked this ep because the new twist completely changes the game board while providing some nice opportunities for Amou's team and their new allies to grow.

At this point, North America and, especially, Brad Watt will be the final villain of the series. As Sofia said, he is changing a lot from before. Right now, he is like the one who can do everything, even by playing a dirty trick, for winning, or for achieving his goals.

Is this season supposed to be the last one ?
Alex just said there was a fourth AMAIM in hokkaido, and it feels like its a bit late to introduce a new character now.

I think Brad is after Gai because it would allow him to completely replicate Ghost. Dude seems obsessed with power.

This set up episode was fire. I can tell the last few weeks are gonna be very tense. No way they wrap up the story this cour tho, I think we will definitely get another season.

The whole Brad plot line seems a bit contrived but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and see how it goes.

So I'm guessing the reason Amou is being invited is because they plan to commit a false flag and blame it on him, or something. Otherwise I can't think of a reason for him to come along.

Sunrise is definitely hoping for another season. I don't know how the merch sales and whatnot have been doing so I can't say how likely it is. I'll probably look it up later.

The pacing is so fucking slow holy shit. This is like the first half of Iron Blooded Orphans in terms of having a mecha show with no robots in it. The ending is either going to be super dumb or it's somehow going to get a second season because so far there hasn't been any satisfying setup for a villain. German is the most obvious manipulator who gets no screen time and Brad is on a battle high. That's all we got after like 20 episodes.
