It was fairly good but somehow the pacing and/or lack of hint to him falling in love with her or the depression from his mother's death was poorly executed.
My lack of relatability to grief at 26 years old may have had a factor to the impact of what was presented but I genuinely did not a feel a strong impact.

Beautiful art. Ironic mystery with good concepts but I don't think it was executed well as a One-Shot to how their relationship developed.
So flawedely that I originally didn't sense or expect an affirmed reveal to his love for her. 6/10.

... By chance, did anyone find out if this eternal flower is real? I didn't from my short research and I can't decipher what flower that is.

As a med student, I can affirm that no living being can survive forever 😅

Anyway, it was a fun read, not too shabby for a one-shot.

It was a one-shot with a simple message. I found it a lovely read ^^ I also teared up near the end because of Hanamori's reasoning for rejecting the eternal flower. Despite the happy ending, there's no guarantee that she will live long, but I'm glad they were able to get together.

The art was also really pretty!

I'm kinda sick of the "girl randomly becomes attracted to loner boy" trope. It's so overdone and completely unrealistic. The plot of this is extremely similar to the can I eat your pancreas movie.

The development of their relationship and the ending were very rushed so they could squeeze in that forced message. It was very transparent with its intentions. But it's a one-shot, so bad pacing is to be expected.

Art is well done and detailed but it looks strange to me, it's like if you took bad 3D cg from an anime and drew it on a page.

Overall, me lonely boy who want cute girl who make jelly donut for me, and this manga about lonely boy who get cute girl who make jelly donut for him, so 10/10

Come on, it's not really random. I'm also not exactly a fan of the "girl randomly becomes attracted to loner boy" trope, but this one-shot wasn't simply a generic rehash of that. Sure, the portrayal of their relationship may have been simple, but it was still well-executed and at the very least didn't feel irrational or "random" as you said. The progression of their relationship was natural in my opinion, and the message of the story didn't feel like it was forced in either. It may be an obvious message, but I still found it meaningful and beautifully conveyed.

But hey, I can sort of understand where you are coming from. Personally, I love short bittersweet stories like this, so I may be overlooking some of its flaws. Nonetheless, I think this is a great one-shot. At least a high 8.

Actually made me feel something for once. That was pretty good, especially after reading it through a second time. There are some lines in the conversations that seem pretty simple at face value, but after you find out the twist and read them again there’s a double meaning to some of them when you consider what one of the characters is thinking. It is a little rushed, but the art is good and it’s a good story for a one shot. 9/10🌷
