the manga was a 8.5/10 for me, the first half is a solid 9.5 but as it went on and on i felt as i was being dragged along with the story. the illustrations are breathtaking but the last 2-3 arcs were pretty questionable in terms of plot. i don’t mind the ending, just wished it was timed better.

I adored the introduction and the jailbreak arc. 10/10 easily, I have never read a better first arc (I'm picky and quit easily).

Forest Arc was a little boring but I was hanging in there, when they got to the shelter my interest had already decreased significantly. During Godly Pond I quit because it made me feel like I was reading the next best shonen, nothing standing out for me anymore, I had come to this show for the mind games anyway.

I picked it back up in chapter 177 when Mama sacrifised herself. From then on to coming here, the ending was alright, although nothing spectacular. A rather calm ending to a suspenseful, sometimes terrifying show.

I liked that there was a happy ending. Everyone could be together again and finally be safe.

Of course, me being a somewhat of a shipper at heart, I would've enjoyed some pairings. Just Digimon-style or Naruto-style, just seeing in one to three panels who the author would've put together themselves. Surely there'd be quite a few disgruntled fans, but I'd just have been curious.

This manga I felt was good until the queen fight. Yes, some dragging was happening from time to time but the core story was solid. I don't know what happened once the royal capital invasion happened.

The fight with the queen was really messy and I feel the art played a part in this. It was just not clear and some times I had to check the panels several times to understand what's going on. The ending of the fight was underwhelming, and the second queen's phase was defeated in an anti-climatic way.

The entire last arc of infiltrating Grace field and fighting Ratri was absolute trash. I felt this was the only part in the manga that was as shit as the second anime season. I mean the royal capital invasion, even if it had problems, was 10 times better than the anime, at least we knew how the drug was developed, got more insight into Norman and his group background and got a fight with strong demons. But this last arc ? Against Ratri ? This was as shit as the anime.

Similar to the anime, they gained control of the farm so easily and without any issues. Lewis appearing out of nowhere to save the Evil blooded and gave the throne to Mujika was a literal ass pull that leaves you thinking the writer wrote himself in a corner with capturing the 2 evil blooded and didn't know how to save them anymore so pulled out this bullsiht. There's no reason to believe this sudden change in Lewis' behavior. It was ridiculous to read.

The only thing I felt was done better in the manga was Isabella betrayal for the Ratri, because the manga gave us a scene that showed how it got other sisters alongside her plan, even though, similar to the anime, I didn't like her betrayal idea that much, it just made it all more easier for the children than what it should have been.

Isabella's death was a nice idea on paper and I prefer her dying than living like in the anime but the execution was really poor. It was so random and out of nowhere.

Emma's promise of having her memories lost I thought was a great idea personally. I have no problem with this. Good thing the writer didn't pull that ass pull of "no reward" or that they managed to make her regain her memories because this would have been the final nail in the coffin for the end. But as with this, I have no problem with the concept. She had to sacrifice something big for such promise and I'm content with it.

Imo pretty much 90% of the manga problems happen in the chapters 150-177 or something. Before that it was rock solid 8/10 story that suffered from dragging here and there

So I'll end up giving it 7/10. It's not as bad as people are making it out to be. However I feel around the royal capital invasion the writer just wanted to finish this series and was running out of ideas, the writer apparently didn't find any good way for them to defeat the queen's second form or save Mmujika and Sonju, so he pulled out some bullshit Deus Ex Machina to solve them. Pretty shame really. The writer obviously wrote himself in a tight corner with such scenarios.

So it ended… I just finished the Promised neverland. OH MY GOD. I don’t have a hard option about endings and stuff but oh my god. I cried just a little bit it was so heart warming. But yea it’s true the ending looked a bit rushed but I am glad it all ended happily. It feels like I just departed from someone so important. I loved it.

A pretty unsatisfying end. It felt rushed and I didn't feel the series actually concluded.

The ending aside, the last few arcs have a lot of cliches and made the story quite predictable, but I still found it enjoyable to read nonetheless. The only thing I hated was Isabella's death, I thought her death was unnecessary and she deserved to go to the human world with others. It wasn't sad, it was very upsetting.

The Seven Walls arc was amazing. I really liked the idea on what Emma and Ray went through to meet him. The Goldy Pond also was great just as what some manga readers said it was. I think it was nearly as good as the first arc.

The first arc really was the peak which made me love the series. Everything was fantastic even in the manga. It's the only arc that I personally consider a masterpiece.

I'd give the manga overall an 8/10. It could have been a 9 if the ending wasn't a disappointment.

The last 2 volumes felt underwhelming...I wonder why there's always this 'difficulty' , or whatever, when ending a story, I always have a sense of apprehension when entering in the final arcs...well it ended, sincerely i don't think it was so bad to give it a 1, i wont forget the feelings i had reading this manga, from the start till the goldy pond arc was the best imprinting for me, I kept fully enjoying it until the second half of the queen fight, around there i started to lose that feeling i had when reading The promised neverland, it wasn't like before, and it kept dying down, I didn't appreciate the ending and the events that led to it but i can't hate it either; this manga was a 10/10 for me, summarizing the experience as a whole I'll give 8/10

the brats 's searching method is so fukking stupid :
so they are travelling all around the world , searching for a single b!tch , using only their eyes to search , and searching each village only for a few hours because "the bus will leave soon" .
and where do they get the huge fund for 100+ brats to travel all around the world ?

page 10 : a ghost can grab a physical bag ? and they are fukking ghosts , how could they also be isekai-ed from the demon world to the human world ?

page 14 : can anyone even explain why do 100+ brats assemble at this exact spot ? previously , they scattered all around the village .
" AVENGERS , ASSEMBLE , the writer told us that the b!tch will be at this spot soon . "
fukking stupid brats , they are making a scene and blocking the traffic in a busy market .

- brats : YOU ARE EVERYTHING TO ME .
- emma : i dont even know who you are . ( endgame 's reference , lol )

- YOU PAID for the promise with EVERYTHING you had .
- er , no , she did not . she only paid some cheap memories . she still has her virginity , her hymen , her uterus , her kidneys , her organs , her intact body , her eyes , her limbs , her life , her youth , ....

last page :

black-hair bratty boy is a fukking 3rd wheel , lol .
- white-hair bratty boy : yo , im holding the hands of my lover . dont touch her with your dirty left hand .

- santa claus : wait a minute , you fukking brats . you try to kidnap my l0li wife with your nonsensical story ? she belongs to me now . get the fukk out of here .

- white-hair bratty boy : we are all going to school now , and we are also skipping school for months to search for you . now i will tell you about cislo , adam , mass-produced brats , mike rat-ri , ayshe , chris , ..... , special dna , our side effects , respiratory systems , ..... , etc etc etc , blah blah blah , yadda yadda yadda , .....
- emma : i dont even know who they are . and i didnt understand ONE SINGLE WORD of your long speech . you know , the nonsense speech makes you look so fukking stupid .

Escape and Goldy Pond arcs easily the best the manga gave, the rest was rather inconsistent and felt really rushed at times. Final chapter really ended the story with a whimper too, didn't commit to the cost of sending them all to the human world. Would have rather she remembered them despite the attempt of the demon god or that they never found her at all. Having it both ways just muddles things. I was also expecting much more development with the main trio but instead it feels like they are no more important for Emma than the rest of the children and that should not be the case. Shipping aside there should be more of a bond between them then what we got in the end. Consequence of the rushing I suppose but I found it hard to feel anything when they all found her without that connection Felt much more for when Mama sacrificed herself.

I'm a bit frustrated as this had moments of greatness for me and then a lot of "its okay" with disappointing end. Had this at a 9/10 after Goldy Pond but now? 7/10 perhaps, wish this gave more.

yeah not sure why people are shitting on the ending. i thought it was so nicely tied up with a ribbon. the final goal has been achieved. now we can hope for her family to help emma remember her heroic life. let’s always remember it’s the journey that matters most, but this destination was pretty sweet too 🥺

A lot of people say it went into a downward spiral, but…what else could've been part of the story?
I think there was enough talking, people complain about ray not saying much at all but the thing is, Most of the story, we are with Emma. Emma's thoughts count more over ray's in my opinion even if we start with her, ray, and Norman at the start, it breaks off.
The ending is so bittersweet, and It's something I would have never expected either.
It exceeded my expectations, but I hated that Emma had to forget everyone and everything.

Even if the characters became a little half-baked, it's alright with me. I'm still satisfied, and I'm able to still love many of the characters.

The plot loosened at the end, and I'm not sure why Lewis/leuvis had a change of heart. I never got a reason for his motive to reveal the truth about the monopoly to the public.

I wish there was more foreshadowing to Sonju being royalty, I wanted more of a backstory to him because he posed as a great threat to Emma at the start.

Other than that, I still love this story with all my heart, and it is by far one of the best mangas I have read.

The ending was kinda saved in the last couple of chapters but oh man how wasted everything after Goldy Pond is. Overall a good series with absolute GODLY art (huge props to the artist Demizu Posuka), with the first two arcs being an absolute 10/10 but everything after that is a slow decline into abyss (except the ending). How I wish the series kept the tone of the first two arcs but oh well still was well worth the read
P.S. TPN ended leagues better than AoT

i was super impressed with so much of this manga, how consistent its themes and ideas about family and social systems and how the old world needs to be torn apart so something new can be built.

having emma forget her family makes no thematic sense at all and just feels like a last minute nonsense twist meant to leave a shocking impression. i'm truly baffled that this is how the story ends after everything that came before it. it could have had an entirely happy ending, even the Demon emma spoke to said that their kind had already been paying for 1000 years so i thought they were going to actively avoid a boring tragic twist end and then they just do it anyway.

the story doesn't even really believe in its own stupid twist cause her family finds her a chapter later, what was the point other than to hurt a bunch of characters for cheap shock value

what an awful black mark at the end of an otherwise beautiful and compelling story

amazing manga. Especially the first half.
In the second half, the dialogues felt a bit cluttered, thereby reducing the quality.

this ending was very dissappointing. I liked when they plotted to escape the farm when they struggled to survive in the wild, then Norman becoming a charismatic terrorist was sooomewhat understandable but I found very dumb, issabelle had a nice redemption arc, but the whole save humanity bit was very generic & in line w/ most Shonen jump series and the ending was lame literally pulling out that some demons have an extra life, humans turning against the kids. did like the one i forgive you from emma for "minerva" but his philosophy on be like ceaser is retarded and the no memory end was sooo fucking weak it was clearly padding ESPECIALLY when they had issabelle sacrfice her life. 4/10

honestly I wish this series wouldve done a spin off w/ the "mothers" as it showed far more interest. dont get me wrong I happy to have seen that big escape arc in the hunting ground that was cut from anime but the series at a whole just had dumb story beats & a very veeeery weak amensia end the journey to the kids freedom was more interesting then actually having them get the freedom

Very. Amazing. Ride. It's been a long time since I finished it for the first time and I had like some of great nostalgic feelings right now.

The ending was pretty nice and I don't get any problem from it. I'm glad they got the happy ending just like this, it's more than enough. Though, I'm a little bit sad that the overall story's are forced to made it more plot-focused rather than talk about the characters more, since actually a lot of them have potentials.

Well, overall it's really heartwarming and I really-really love it.

It's kinda ridiculous to see some people got furious about this manga just because it's shorter than they wished. These people need a reminder about AOT which became total trash and Berserk which won't be finished ever. It's obvious that at some point editor asked author to stop story further progress and instead think for conclusion maybe because of some other manga or maybe editor noticed some crucial fall of interest but author did great job, it's a rare quality in our times. Manga stayed coherent and logically clear, motives of characters are absolutely adequate and understandable, MC and story itself are pretty positive and inspiring what is a breath of fresh air in era of annoying and typical 'edgy' garbage with a purpose of farsical drama to hide emotional holes on characters' motives or plot like it was in AOT with deaths of crucial characters just for shock and cheep emotional manipulation.

I'm seeing people say how the ending to the series was the expected cliche happy ending, but they're forgetting just how much Emma, Norman, Ray and all the other children in the orphanage have been through up to this point only for one of the people they love most and even consider family to be taken away from them and forgetting every memory for the sake of them being able to go to the human world and live a normal life for once in their lives. On top of that, Isabella, The one mother figure they've had for all their lives died right before them just when they thought they were going to be free of the hassle of avoiding demons and the Ratri clan who've been hunting them down for 2 or 3 years straight.

If anything the ending to such a good series had me wanting more and I even got a little emotional, but all good things must come to an end.
