Another pretty great episode this week, i really like the characters here a lot, with Light actually having a good personality that i would love to see developed more as the series goes on, as well as Gentleman and the others too. 4/5

This show has no right being so good after how trash the last season was.

Not that that's me complaining; I am absolutely loving every second of it. Well thought out battles with entertaining characters- there's very little not to love.

You can't take back votes here? I clicked on Hated it by mistake...

I didn't expect Gentlemen to be the member they first recruit ngl. So does this mean that only those characters in the OP that has DigiFriends featured will be future Flame members?

I'm assuming the next member will be the Swordcraft tomboy. Can't wait for the next episode!

I'm still dying at how perfect of a name Lady & Gentleman is.

I hope we can get Subaru or Itsuki fighting soon. Light is entertaining and all, but I'd like to see the other clans in action.

The only reason he “lost” in the first place is because it wasn’t a fair fight to begin with. That one didn’t count.

what do you mean it wasn't a fair fight LOL

Sure, Shinobu got talked into her ear about what to do from Gentleman, but all that does in the worst case scenario is just changing who light lost to (Gentleman instead of Shinobu). It's not like the cards used were applied incorrectly, and Light lost because he swung face instead of clearing board.

It's absolutely still a legitimate loss.

That’s just it. She got outside help (sort of), which is cheating, so my previous post still stands.

Light still lost though, regardless of who was actually playing the game.

Sure, in a tournament, Shinobu would be disqualified and Light gets a bye, but this is not a tournament and also Light clearly didn't deserve to win as he misplayed. Also, by treating it as "not a real loss" then you invalidate the fact Light DOES treat it as his loss and actually learns from his mistakes.

That is, to say, you're being less mature than the fictional character over a loss said fictional character suffered.

Maybe it wasn't a tournament, but it still wasn't a fair fight.

Once again, the only thing "unfair" about it is that he wasn't so much battling shinobu as he was battling gentleman. In a tournament setting this would absolutely be unfair, as you're expected to be able to carry your own accomplishments. But here? It may as well just have been two battles against Gentleman in a row, just with two different decks.

It'd be different if Shinobu just did stuff like "oh yeah you can totally attack your 1/2 into my 2/2 and destroy both, trust me" as she'd be feeding him false info to make him lose at that point, but Shinobu was clearly teaching him the ropes and not withholding any information. Light had all the tools he needed to compete with Shinobu and all of the mistakes he made were his own, not caused by external influence.

It's a real loss. The narrative treats it as one and there's no reason you shouldn't.
