I'm planning on starting this anime but I know s2 is shit so might leave it at s1
So had a question :- does s1 have a proper conclusion that even if I don't watch the second season it doesn't matter? cause I don't read manga and I don't want to be left on a cliffhanger on s1

s1 hits a mid-story checkpoint meaning you can imagine the rest and not be confused. so you can stop at s1. i understand that this manga is a heavy one, but i'd still recommend that you read it since it's really good. (just don't watch s2 of the anime)

I doubt you will be able to stop after watching the 1st season. The 2nd season is complete trash. But man, the manga is a masterpiece. I would suggest you to try the manga, trust me, it's worth it.

You could probably view it as a conclusion but you'll probably want to see what happens next. The anime skips a really good arc so you should read that if you feel like it but then the manga drops off in quality and that's the arc the anime adapted for season 2. It's a terrible adaption but the arc itself isn't that great anyways

The end of season 1 has a satisfying ending. I wish I never watched season 2 it’s way worse in every single way than season 1 and completely messes up the story. I suggest just watch season 1 and the ending should satisfy you.

I think you check out the manga after watching S1 'cause S2 is not that good and it will disappoint you.
And the anime ends in chapter 37 so you'll want to read from chapter 38 in volume 5.

It’s a pretty big cliff hanger, and the issue with season 2 is that they cut a lot of stuff from the Manga and rush every plot point. I would recommend watching season 1 and then pick the Manga up after that starting at Volume 6 (Chapter 44). I am currently about 55% of the way through the Manga, and seeing everything they changed up to this point is astonishing. They adapted season 1 perfectly, so no need to read the previous chapters, but yeah, season 2 is not worth watching in the slightest. Watching season 2 and then reading the manga after that will just make you hate season 2 even more than you probably already do.

Sorry if that felt confusing or ranty, Promised Neverland is just such a good story that made me so disappointed when I watched season 2.

lowkey, even though the internet has been trashing on season 2, it doesn't suck thaat much. i think it was just the mange readers that were disappointed, but if you're anime only, it's not a complete waste of time imo

I'm considering my self as anime fan, I don't read manga.

but The Promsid Neverlans is the only Manga I have ever read in my entire life, it's cool and story is very good comparing to what happened on S2 that I watched after the Manga.

in my humble opinion, Stop on S1 which is good stop, OR continue with the Manga, don't waste your time with S2.

Even the manga goes downhill after kids escape, but 2nd season of anime somehow made it way worse.

I’d honestly recommend just watching the first season and reading the manga afterwards. IMO after talking with some friends about the later chapters, it seemed like the story peaked with the Grace Field arc and never got back up.

Honestly if you don’t read the manga you might just want to watch season 2 regardless, something I’ve noticed is that people who haven’t read the manga don’t really think s2 is that bad. As someone who reads manga I did not like the adaptation but my friend who does not read manga thought it was alright . Really if you ever plan on reading it then don’t watch s2, manga is way too good to be ruined by the show 💀

Season one can stand on its own very well. The ending of season 1 is clearly not meant to be the end of the story, so there’s a few loose ends, but it’s satisfying enough overall and ties up most of the story presented in season 1 pretty well.

Season 1 is left on a cliffhanger but it isn’t anything major after season 1 in the manga the story expands season 1 was basic

A lot of people say to watch season 1 then just switch to the manga after that. Definitely do not watch season 2. It was a complete and utter failure and my all-time worst score on MAL. That slideshow finale scene will go down as one of the worst anime failures of all time.

Well, everyone knows season 2 is shit.
You might not know but the real adventure begins after season 1 in the manga.

Start the manga from the beginning, you won't regret it.
You will be welcomed with new characters that actually bring a meaning to the story and new arcs that were literally skipped in season 2.

Season 2 is like a different anime, you can't compare the manga and season 2 because everything is left out and skipped.
yes.

How dare you say that?
Even the people who did not read the manga knew at some point that the season 2 was just too rushed and shit.
I mean come on, how dare they kill yuugo in the anime and leave out the goldy pond arc. Literally the best arc in the whole manga. Plus everything is changed in the season 2. The real ending is not present and everything is left out.
I don't want to leak out spoilers so I won't say anything about the real ending but you should know that it's not the real ending.
yes.

He's not wrong Tho, When I was watching the anime, I knew nothing about the manga So S2 seamed normal, well you can tell it was rushed a little but it seemed fine... TILL I FOUND OUT BOUT THE MANGA SIDE OF THINGS... well...

Yes, S1 ends on a great note and don't watch the rest, it's absolutely better to finish it incomplete instead of watch this terrible season.
Reviewing is not easy.
