| I just started this show, I know the drama and sports stuff is supposedly really good but is there a good amount of romance in it too? Maybe a dumb question given the tags lmao but it's 100 eps yknow lmao I wanted some romance so I want an idea of what I'm getting into before I watch too far lol Also maybe asked already, I already maybe got spoiled on a big plotpoint so I didn't wanna take that chance |

| Its a very long process, and early in the anime you will know why it takes soo long to develop properly. If you want something more similar and modern you can watch the Major series, it develops at a more digestable pace. Not trying to discredit Torch of course, but you got to understand it does suffer from being old, one of the first baseball series with a deep plot, so expect some huge drag in the romance aspect. But is still a pioneer series and a good classic(not my favorite, but this is subjective) that any 90's anime fan should watch at least once. |

| The romance in Touch is more relevant than in Major (where it's very in the background) and it actually develops rather surprisingly quickly in the beginning (~30 eps). It does go very slowly after that though. |

| As someone who mainly watches romance, the romance in this is insanely good. I don't know any other sports anime that focuses as much on romance as this one besides Adachi's other works that is. The chemistry between the main couple is incredible and Tatsuya is truly an amazing enertaining character. Minami is truly perfect for him. He's easily one of the best male protagonist for a shounen sports anime. |
