As a pure anime watcher I did notice that the love relationships that Koyuki had were really weird. First girl was basically a sister and she left. Maho is there but gets jealous easily while also not fully defining her relationship with Koyuki. I was so frustrated with the whole situation and in my opinion it really didn’t add the the story, but I’m guessing it plays more of a part in the manga.

finished the manga and honestly she just got worse. her reaction was valid in the first part of the manga, but she always acts so inconsiderate of koyuki's feelings maybe that's why I don't like her. I really thought she would get better because I actually did like her character at first just not the way she treats koyuki but nah she gets 0 character development. after all, she's emotionally a fragile girl who should be dating someone who can communicate well and would open up and confront the negative things she did so that she'll learn, and that's something koyuki had never done, a boy who handles maho's insecurity poorly. But I get why you guys like her because she's very supportive and wore a radiohead t-shirt, then again she still mistreated koyuki. I do not really hate her since I know she has her own mistakes and can change, but the author never gave her the chance to do so well ig she partially did, so there's that
