Lol, here's my analysis on whether or not I think we'll get a second season, and if so, when we might possibly get one.
To begin, the studio's other anime series, Ascendance of a Bookworm, first premiered Oct - Dec 2019, its second season premiered April - June 2020, and its third season premiered April 2022. Basically there was a 4-month gap and then a 22-month gap between releases (with the latter gap probably being influenced by the pandemic).
In between the release of this anime's first and second season, 1 movie, 1 OVA, and 2 tv shows aired. In between the release of this anime's second and third season, 1 movie, 1 OVA, and 3 tv shows aired. This may or may not be a pattern and perhaps just a coincidence, but for reference, since Kemono Jihen season 1 has released, 1 movie, 1 OVA, and 3 TV series have aired.
Meanwhile, regarding their other anime series, Motto!, it's third season premiered April 2020 (with help from Bandai Namco Pictures) and its fourth season premiered April - Oct 2021. About a one year gap.
Also, this studio animated the first season of How Not to Summon a Demon Lord (July - Sept 2018), which I believe is more popular than those other anime above, anyway, it got a 2nd season (though animated by a different studio), which aired April - June 2021...so that's a 31-month gap.
However, keep in mind, their only recent anime that did not get an announced sequel so far is Kakushigoto, which debuted April - June 2020. I am unaware if this is due to lack of manga sales or otherwise, but would appreciate if someone could let us know a possible reason!
Moving on, it's important to note that the Kemono Jihen's manga sales seem to be fairly successful based on it remaining in the top 20 sales per month for at least 3 months in early 2021. And for this studio, the Kemono Jihen anime has the 2nd highest MAL members, so relative to their other anime productions, I suspect it's very popular.
Also, we know that the Kemono Jihen anime, which ran from January - March 2021, was based on the first 21 chapters. Currently, there are about 64 chapters available, so there is definitely enough source material.
Therefore, based on the fact that...
(1) The history of most of the studio's recent (and lesser popular) anime adaptations getting sequel seasons
(2) Kemono Jihen seems commercially successful and relatively popular for the studio
(3) There is enough source material for a whole new season
(4) There are no current anime production plans beyond June 2022
(5) The studio's pattern of releasing a sequel season after 1 movie, 1 OVA, and 2-3 TV shows since the initial season
I would conclude that it is likely that we will get a second season of Kemono Jihen, and soon at that.
As for when it will become available...after briefly looking at some of the studio's production's history, anime projects seem to be announced 4 - 12 months before premiering, and assuming the studio follows their recent release pattern, I would like to optimistically think that season 2 will premiere in Oct 2022 or Jan 2023. If it is announced later than those two predictions, perhaps that's because it is more profitable for these companies to wait for a hefty number of volumes to release first, to increase manga purchases? Or perhaps there are production delays due to other reasons...
