Man, the weather is something else this episode...probably the worst in this anime so far.

Unlike some of the previous episodes, this one took on a much more despairing style especially for Shuuta. Trying to save a person in the most desperate times showed his vulnerable side.

That was intense. Much better than the previous episode.

Poor Tsuzuragawa. I hope she'll get better.

If anything, 0th provided a great idea of info to Shu, though being Ran's mentor clouds the unforeseen future in secrecy.

Once again, another Trolley Problem resurfaces from Asumi, but this time, the stakes are much higher with Mother Nature wrecking cranes on Cornucopia's roof, and the savior's life be sacrified or saved if the right actions are taken. This is the EXACT OPPOSITE of seeing it from the victim's POV the episodes prior, and both Koki and 0th using Carneades to instigate this "Graffiti War"...it still goes back to the heart of the KANAE System being a double-edged sword to give or take possibilities.

More than Shu acting the hero, people like Koki choose the choices available, which may or may not come off as a safe choice on top of his own agenda to hack into the KANAE System with the help of his DoRed comrades to find the real info beneath the many hidden and well obfuscated layers of protection.

It wouldn't be a surprise that Sakiko is Carneades, given how much even as the KANAE System looks complete, it's imperfect complexity that aligns the Visions to Asumi's consciousness being its brain, while being connected straight to Ran's family as yet another layer of family entrusted protection. Now tell me if all of this sounds willfully complex enough.

Instead, they followed up with the choice that someone could sacrifice their life, and Sakiko was the scapegoat in the effort to ramp up Ran's father's position for the referendum. On the other hand, looking forward to see how 0th will destroy the system, and his inherent connection to it. Back to form.

I'm wondering if 0th is the one who kill Asumi, and he needs to destroy KANAE to get rid of the evidence.

Great episode! Another call from Asumi is received. This time involving the fall of the tower cranes and the only person who can stop it being on top of the tower. But the person on top of the tower will die or many people will be crushed by the cranes...
Ran is wanted to hack into the Kanae system database. Tsuzurugawa was hit by the lightning strike and she is Carneades! Shuta managed to save Tsurugawa however.

Looking forward to the next episode!

This was a great episode.

Shuta finds out the location of Carneades from 0th and heads there. But the RGB get another phone call from Asumi and this time they have to save the building in which the KANAE system is.

We finally find out the identity of Carneades and it's none other than Tsuzugarawa, damn. It's funny how Tsuzuragawa made this facade of Carneades so that she can hide a bug in KANAE system, she's deceiving her boss lol and he's not even questioning anything.

I hate how hacking is portrayed in anime, I can understand they are trying to show what Ran is doing, visually but still I hate it.

I KNEW ASUMI IS ALIVE, I said this right after watching the episode in which it was revealed that Asumi is the brain of the KANAE system, I mean, if her brain is alive then she's alive as well isn't she? Her consciousness is now transferred to the KANAE system as we can see when Ran is hacking into the system. We got some unexpected Asumi fan-service as well, though I don't think it was meant to be received as fan-service.

They did good job on animation in this episode, this episode was much better than last time not only in terms of animation but the story, plot progression and stuff too.

Man, Shuta was just staring at those oppai's in last episode and in this he got to touch them, lucky bastard. Well at least Tsuzuragawa was able to come back to life, that's good.

It was absurd how Shuta jumped from such high place and didn't seem injured, it was nice that they showed us he actually got injured, heroes get injured too afterall.

Now I don't know if 0th is the good or the bad guy but he said he's gonna use the data that Ran provided him with to destroy the KANAE system, which means Asumi will die too? Only Koki the uragirimono knows that Asumi is still alive, I wonder when Shuta and Ran will find out about this.

Only 4 episodes are left and I don't know if we will be able to reach the end of this anime by then.

Anyway pretty enjoyable episode, 5/5. Looking forward to next one.

So did Tsuzuragawa or Asumin kill sensei and do all that other shit to kill people? or are these visions clearly by chance because honestly...this story is kind of going off the rails now.

Shuuta is the GOAT atm thats all I know.

Koki is becoming more annoying. lol

Asumi really became an AI, giving them Visions / predicting the future.

I don't understand why people liked this episode. The Carneades reveal was so boring and predictable, and the KANAE system keeps getting more confusing. There is no explanation to the near mythical things they're doing with foresight and controlling the climate. That lightning strike was surely sent by God to hit only Tsuruzagawa and leave Shuta alone with no follow ups.

Ran hacked into the KANAE system and nothing happened. The cranes fell down and no one seems to have been hurt. Yes, there was a fire alert, but there were still people inside the building. They left too fast. Even the drama with Tsuruzagawa was pointless, since nothing serious seems to have happened to her.

At least the characters are still true to their personalities.

I'd say that rather fixed the pacing issues of the last episode, getting the show back on track. I'm noticing, retrospectively, that the "downtime" parts when they're not trying to solve another Vision drag a bit, perhaps it may be better to contract them a bit and focus mainly on the Visions. It's 8 episodes and there have been, what, 4, only? Of which two were solved in the same episode they were presented. Obviously I'd remiss myself to say there doesn't need to be time for characterisation in calmer periods, but I can't pretend it doesn't make the tone oscillate a little.

Either way, a fairly interesting development. Not an unexpected one by any means, it rather spelled out that Tzurugawa was Carneades when Shu recalled seeing her near 0th's place, but having her be set aside by the story in favour of the bigger threat is welcome. I'm quite interested in how this'll proceed going into the last few story beats.
Well I for one already loved Lain.

I feel so bad for the animation team. You can tell how many corners they're cutting, and I'm really worried about the show being able to stick the landing. I'm still enjoying the show for now, but they are juggling too many ideas and conflicts.

I think you didn't understand the episode at all. If anything, he's finally developing, starting to question the Kane System as a hole. I find potential there to finally make him and Ran have an understanding.

So wait... Asumi's magically remaining consciousness is interacting poorly with the system, and her subconscious nightmares actively create these trolley problems? I'm pretty sure that's what they're saying. I'll accept the super power sounds, but I don't get at all why she can control the weather. Even if that was a thing why would she have any access to it?

This episode was crazy.

It was interesting to find out Tsuzuragawa was Carneades not that I'm too surprised. Shuta attempts to revive Tsuzuragawa, no words. Enojun delivering raw emotions through his voice acting, amazing.

Since Asumi's consciousness has now fully awakened inside the KANAE System, I wonder if anything will change or affect the Visions the boys have been receiving.

I'm pretty excited for next week's episode.

Not a huge surprise on Carneades identity, but still a relief to see hot lady Tsuzuragawa saved. Got to say with the boobs thing from previous episode, I couldn't fully take Shuta doing CPR on her serious.
