| I just received the OST for "Umi Monogatari". It's from Mellow Head/Geneon, LHCA-9005, released 2009-11-06. It contains two CDs; one is called "Light Side" and the other "Shadow Side". All of the songs are composed, arranged, and recorded by Ken Muramatsu. It's an extremely well done OST. All of the songs are played on instruments, not on synthesizers. The performances are generally quite good, particularly when you consider that Ken Muramatsu composed some fairly complicated and challenging jazz pieces for the OST, particularly some of the piano solos. It was great to listen to the songs again - the BGM was probably the most attractive part of the anime series for me. This is a CD that will stand up to multiple listens long into the future. |
