I see both the main characters in this anime are named Musashi and Kojirou , which are the names of the two main characters of the samurai manga Vagabond

Is this anime inspired from Vagabond? Does Orient have Vagabond-elements or is Orient something completely different

Lol vagabond is not completely an original work, is based on japanese history so they don’t have much in common. Vagabond is a seinen manga that portaits a fictionalized life of Musashi Miyamoto. Oreint on the other hand, is a shonen manga that focuses on the fights between samurai (here called bushi) and oni (japanese ogres/demons).

Musashi and Kojiro are basic af in pop culture. When you think about who are the most famous samurai to represent all samurai, it would be these 2.

No. It is inspired by Pokemon. Musashi and Kojirou are two of the members of Team Rocket.

Kinda in some aspect. The crystal and metal theme is definitely fresh tho, since it could be traced back to the ancient text about Chi You, a certain demon god from ancient China. That's the first myth revolves around metal-eating demon, and I haven't seen any anime/manga that bring this aspect.

The only element I know of that they share is the fact that they are samurai but that’s it and the names could be influenced by the actual story of musashi miyamoto and kojiro instead of the manga made by inoue takehiko

Yes and no, in demon slayer the demons aren’t as powerful as the ones in orient and the power system is more supernatural in orient
