And this dude is funny for saying something like that equates to a “plot hole.” Which now plot holes have lost their meaning because apparently every show has a plot hole. But anyway, I think it was just something he was saying to make her feel better. Like “I’m always going to be there for you.” That’s not literal, neither was he being literal.
