"Tears just aren't my thing." That's pretty much the best way to define Jigen and it held a lot of weight in this episode. Somehow, it was both wholesome and heart wrenching at the same time. While the story was pretty simple and straightforward, getting even a tiny glimpse into the heart and mind of Jigen is very powerful.

Man... I love Jigen-focused episodes. Really liked the bittersweet vibe it gave and the fact that they've crafted a believable relationship from start to finish in a single ep.

I'm starting to catch a running theme that Jigen centric episodes will somehow add another woman to his backstory. Part 5 did it and so did A Woman Called Fujiko Mine.

Another running theme I'm seeing is that Jigen's being paired with his gun a lot. How many times this season has he referred to his gun as his partner? At least three times, I think. It makes me wonder if Jigen's gun is going to have more relevance in a later episode.

Another Jigen episode in which it feature a bittersweet love story with the woman that saved his life and now she is getting married to some one else. There was no way the gunman Jigen was going to get a happy ending and he's already married to the pistol till the day he finally dies.

Its not a certified Jigen episode if there isn't an old flame who is a part of the story. This season continues to follow the classic Lupin tropes to great affect. I'm super pumped for the Goemon episode that comes after this one.

Really liked that Jigen episode, even though it was kinda sad actually but it's nice to learn more about him and his past with that woman

Jigen episodes tend to be better than average, this was no exception.

Again it was a simple story, but there's just a great mood throughout, you can sense the melancholy and loneliness, high ideals and love, yet at the heart there's always the violence that he chose as a way of life. In that sense Jigen episodes aren't actually that far from more traditional samurai stories, and perhaps they're closer to that than what we see with Goemon.

Damn, Jigen always have the best episodes. Also, "Love Theme" at the end of the episode was a really nice touch

If tears aren't your thing Jigen you could've at least sold the damn thing for money instead.... what a waste.
