Ep 16 and 17 were pretty strong episodes. I particularly liked having another Kiddy episode. I love the Kiddy x Ralph relationship.

The Lucifer Hawk in a micromachine was a pretty interesting idea, reminded me a bit of the Lilliputian Invader episode from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Still, there are visually things in this episode that makes me question the direction of this anime in a "who thinks this looks good?" kind of way.

A few delicate changes to this episode would've turned it from cheesy to great. They could've shown how her abrasive personality is related to the blunt nature of her body--- she's able to lift a car but has trouble holding a pair of chopsticks and can't feel textures, which frustrates her to no end on a daily basis, causing her to hate her own body. So then when she gets arrested the idea that she can't control herself is a natural extension of an ongoing internal struggle. The scene with her looking at the wedding dress should be her thinking about how hard it would be for Ralph to connect with a woman that's mostly machine either physically or mentally, so then when they do connect in that life or death situation the idea comes full circle.

Also emphasize the heart over machine theme a lot less in dialogue because it was cheesy. Just show it happening and don't comment over it, and definitely don't have her talking over the part where she gives her life support to Ralph. Just have a subtle remark at the end of the episode that shows that she's now more accepting of her body as the only remark about it on her part. Or maybe not at all. Just have her be able to hold a spoon to feed Ralph.

From a barebones standpoint the episode was good and I like that it followed up on Kiddy's previous episode.

...since when does Ralph have long hair!?

i only noticed it in recent episode, but i thought his hair was short back in the first episodes??
