If you don't mind reading, you should just switch to the LN. If you do mind, then just watch season 3, you've already come this far.

NO
3rd season is an incoherent and rushed clusterf*ck. It's better to read the LN.

Well…
Pretty much what the other people have stated before.
The thing is J.C. Staff really LOVES to destroy LN adaptations. They have done that several times in the past.
What does that have to do with your question? Well. Everything.
3rd Season of Toaru was made by the studio and this is the worse example of destroying a franchise.
The adaptation is rushed (Like ultra). IIRC they adapted like 8 volumes in one single season?
Is that bad? Well, yes.
Toaru novels are longer than average and what makes them great is the level of depth and complexity the characters and their respective arcs have.
So yes. Anime and source are two different worlds.
If you really don’t like reading whatsoever then you can continue watching this season, but as you mentioned before it has not aged well (Which is weird because this season was recently made) but probably it will keep getting a lower rating as time passes by.
Sadly this pretty much confirms that we would never get another season because of all the backlash (And there’s like 25+ volumes more since the story is still ongoing)
So is it worth your time? Not really but you’re free to watch it I suppose but if you really want to experience the story the way the author intended you should check the novels and discover why most fans claim that it is masterpiece.

Ya i watched it and now I have been trying to figure out where to start in the LN. If you want to try it go ahead, but its just too much at once. They should have made this season longer could have saved it

I'd normally recommend anyone to read the LN from the beginning. If you can't, ping me up personally. The entire thing's a bit complicated. There is a huge information gap between LN readers and anime-onlies due to bad adaptation.

I'm currently watching it and am on ep 17. The visuals, violence and feel of the show don't disappoint. If anything it's nicely split between Touma's adventures and Accelerator's missions. There's content for every one and it's packed nicely.
