It looks like an episode of difficult choices especially for both Yuito and Kasane.

From the buildup, they got a world to save. As expected, they got the support of their teammates. Idk how I feel about the overall execution but it does stick with the overall main route from the game. Only one episode left and Karen still remains my least favorite character in the show lol

This penultimate episode had the "Zone of the Enders" feel that despite all the atrocity that Scarlet Nexus gets (at least for the anime), it will never encourage people to play the fabulous game, which the quality is night and day.

The final stint to destroy the Kunad Gate, with Karen finally having come to his senses, has everyone connected through psionics/SAS to Arahabaki. Even if it kills their brains as a whole, why not at least try if Yuito isn't afraid to draw death wishes for himself each and everytime.

I guess this is really a "fitting" end for Karen as he finally succeeded in finding the long lost Alice in the Kunad Gate, if only for a fleeting moment. In essence, he saved the rest by untangling the final Entanglement that bounded the entire New Himuka region, so at least this boring story had a somewhat decent ending that's consistent from start to finish.

But wait, if Alice managed to be revived, then where's Karen?

Still though, this is a blip better than King's Raid, so there's that.

At first I thought Fubuki will marry with Karen instead of Alice, but Karen manage to make a miracle from his own sacrifice.

Every episode I can’t help but notice how this anime leaves a bad taste on the game. The game is really good and it’s story is expressed a lot better. Here it’s such a drag. However it’s nice seeing bits and pieces arhat the game couldn’t cover like Karen’s back story

You know, I actually like how persistent Karen was, he didn't fold easily. He's gone, but he accomplished his goal of saving Alice.

I haven't finished the game yet, but I can really see now the possibilities for a Scarlet Nexus 2, I hope we get a sequel to the game.

What? Why? Why such a nonsensical turn at the last few episodes?

Karen was so set on his stubbornness in the last episode, but it took but a few words from Fubuki to kill his determination. Suddenly, he is 100% on their side (except he isn't, obviously, but our characters don't consider that for a second). They still didn't explain how the main characters connected to Karen's memories in the Sumeragi Mausoleum or what kind of power exactly is those cables-things that come out of their backs.

But they use that anyway to delete the Extinction Belt in a pretty anticlimactic way, to say the least. Then, Karen sacrifices himself, for some reason, to close the Kunad Gate and bring Alice back. But how? Where did he go? Why was that the only thing altered in the past, no time paradox, not butterfly effect or anything...

At least we still have one episode to explain some things and give a more concrete ending, but dammit, that was a rushed and poor execution of an ending. I wonder what will happen to Yuito's headaches and if we'll get any information about the moon people.

Yeah i aggree with the person above, Fubuki just come in and suddenly Karen wasn't Karen anymore. Sigh, what a letdown end. I expect more than that, even they are not fighting the big monster that i see on the game walkthrough. So that really an anticlimactic way to end their final battle.

Alright, the end is still the end no matter what, even though Alice comesback really give me a pikachu face expression. Extinction belt devoured and i believe Karen use the red string power to erase his existence as a whole to remove the entanglement to cease the gate existence too, while also recycling back Alice life into the current time world. Idk how its possible, but maybe it can be way more make a sense at the final episode next week.

Lets see....

Karen ended up as such an insignificant last boss that (almost) everyone forgot about him.

Not a big fan of Karen's character but I do feel somewhat bad for him with Alice not knowing who he is after he finally having saved her
