i didn't watch the TV or the movie version yet so: what do you think is the better version to watch? tv or movie? please keep in mind that it wouldn't be a rewatch for this purpose, it's a first time viewer experience for both of them so if you watched the movie first and thought this is kinda lame because you already knew what happened, it doesn't matter in this case

The TV version had few extra clips and since you have not watched the movie, just watch the series.

You might as well watch the series, since it has an episode of original content.

Skip the movie and watch the series.

I'd go with the movie. You need one night an your caught up. The tv series is recycling the movie, with some extra clips here and there.

I've watched both, but the series alone is good enough IMO, everything in the movie is in the series. Also the first episode and the OP were really good.

bro but those extra clips are all canon like the episode one was I think they are really good to build up the hype and on top of it in tv series you can get op and ed as well so if you want to enjoy the arc in the best way I think tv series is a better choice than the movie

Doesn't matter they're the same thing. TV series just has an extra episode but after that they didn't add even one extra scene other than those of movie. So if you want to wrap up quickly. Watch ep 1 then the movie.

I would say, watch the first ep of the series and then watch the movie. The experience of watching this arc in movie format is on a whole another level compared to the series.

TV version has new improved ost in some scenes. Plus there are minor extra scenes in it along with a brand new episode. So the obvious choice is to go with the TV version.

I think the two are fine, but the only thing that separates the two is the additional scene and the graphic from the series, but the downside of the series is the repetition of the movie version. And if you haven't been to the series even better, because if you look at both, one of them is just a boring anime.

Watch the first episode of the TV series as it's new content then go for the movie for a better cut.

Reason to watch the movie: one continuous film with no cuts for intros or endings or as breaks. Watch in one sitting

Reason to watch series: extra scenes added (nothing major you’d really notice) and good if you have limited time and can’t watch them all at once.

I’d still recommend episode 1 of the series as it’s a cool side story with rengoku before the events of the film

I can't recall off the top of my head if the extra clips are canon or not. I don't remember reading it in the manga. I'm thinking for efficiency's sake, it's better to watch the movie.

Series definitely, it has more clips and scenes so why not (also i think the animation is very slightly better)
