THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Major, major things moving around. First of all Yamamoto and Touya...she really hates him now it is shown really well with her slaming that paper down. That from Kanzaki's office came to see Eiji so some development there. Touya gets raped by Yayoi again in the bathroom this time....O_O in the bathroom? Damn. Rina's get beaten by Yuki's song and I did not like that, I like Sounds of Destiny more. I laughed so hard when Menou managed to get into the other guy's place just to hide from her manager of finding her because Touya was not around. Big news! The photo man taking pictures is none other than Hiiragi (I knew it) and looks he might be forming a alliance with Tamaru, which might a big problem. Mana completely raged at her mom...she thrashed her room completely..big shock I had. The mom now knows that Touya is Mana's tutor but it was nice of Touya to give her a present for her birthday. In the end Misaki gets a phone call from Tamaru..another big surprise, Touya goes to find Mana and he instead find Haruka...playing tennis again? That is incredible that she started it again! Touya's dad is getting more pain and cancer is progressing I would think. So there is much progression. If there is one thing to show is that I have never seen Mana like this and express my deepest sadness (.....T_T....) for her state here: Now I am looking for answers to these (the pics are easier for me to show my question). Are Hiiragi/Tamaru forming a alliance here to do something to Touya/Yuki/Yayoi....I know Tamaru hates Touya and Hiiragi hates Yayoi but then why call her?
.....

Major post but I want answers based on what I have seen.....

So many problems are building up and left unsolved, EIji with his painting, affair with Yayoi, stalker, relationship problem with Yuki and Rina, dying father and the emo kid Mana (honestly I didnt get why she really flipped), this is the sign of final drama we are heading to~

btw, I had feeling last time that people really do believe Touya is of low intelligence.
No matter how dumb this show portraits him, it shouldnt be difficult to see he is a very average man, at least as far as his relationship-matters are concerned:

His relationship with Misaki had nothing to begin with, he never thought anything of her other than a childhood friend.
His relationship/affair with Yayoi is unavoidable, just as any average man in reality wouldnt have done anything different on that matter, plus, it was him who was "raped" (and who grew liking it sometimes~)
Things with Haruka and Mana also have nothing to begin with at first place, they are no different than a friend and a kid.
The only one he has any interest other than Yuki is Rina, who he adored as an idol as early as in his high-school years. Of course if Rina ever shows affection towards him, he wouldnt be able to act different than falling for her as well. Plus the fact that things between him and Yuki arent going well (due to Yayoi things etc).
And the wrongs in relationship with Yuki isnt really all Touya's fault either, it is the circumstances that made that relationship hardly possible anymore.

So, even though Touya looks really dumb from the audiences' point of view, he is in reality not much different than the audiences themselves. (except now that the audience is more or less intentional, so difference to certain degree is unavoidable~)

yeah, I for one cant wait to see how all this mess will end...

It looks like it vinesage but it feels kind of rushed....third season?

He is of low intelligence in the love department. I would say more.
vinesage said:

That is strange because he kissed her and she admitted in being fake towards him because of her jealousy of Yuki...
vinesage said:

Yeah he got raped and liked it because Yayoi had sexual experience, she knew how to pleasure him and make him stay with her kind of a like a succubus....I don't think she was a virgin since the first time she met him whereas....Yuki/Rina/Misaki are very much still are and I know...PM me if you want to know.
vinesage said:

That I agree but getting a present for Mana....depends what it is it would explain a lot.

Yes, I would think he would switch to Rina also...BTW what was that photo shoot they had Yuki doing with a Kimono on her.

Agreed but what if Touya could something about those circumstances...could that have changed anything?

He is a fool of his own mistakes....that is for sure and to correct them, he did not really show anything to us that he did much of that yet.

It certainly looks that way. Yayoi was told on the phone to meet up with him. (= blackmail)

francismeunier said:
Why is the father comparing Yuki to his death wife and does the ressemblence give hints that Yuki might be the sister of Touya or half-sister?
I dont know where your suspicion of Yuki being Touyas sister comes from or whatever base that has, I never had that thought and I find it pretty implausible. If it indeed turns out that way, my score for this show would drop 1 automatically~

francismeunier said:
Why is Tamaru crying here like weak male in front of his father?
Because he is a kid who cant get what he wants?

francismeunier said:
Why would Mana go to such extent as behaviour....this is not typical of her at all on top of pushing her mom and insulting her in front of Touya.
No idea either, emo?

francismeunier said:
Did Touya have sex possibly twice with Yayoi in this episode....once in the bathroom and the other time meeting her in the car?
They always have sex when they meet up, it is just not shown.(when yayoi ask she meant if touya wants to ang around, that already was as obvious as it can get~ )

francismeunier said:
Also doe Menou smile here mean anything? Could it be related to what she heard between Tamaru/Hiiragi?
yeah, maybe she finds it pretty funny and cant wait to see what would happen to touya just like me? :D

So that is what he told her? She should have sex with him too then to trick him into giving her his camera and pictures...there problem solved. It would be even better to have Touya walk in at the same time to get a bigger drama.

Look at the wife in pic and Yuki...they look identical almost.

All I can say is, White Album isnt a show that anything can happen just for the sake of drama/entertainment, things happens because of the characters, and characters change because things happen. Mistakes happen because it is human.
So your suggestion that Yayoi should sex up the stalker is quite funny/entertaining but I dont think that is what White Album is.

And I just watched the latest Blacksmith after White Album, honestly, I cant even put it in words the HUGE difference of intelligence involved in plot/story writing, character etc~ thank god I didnt check out seitokai or railgun, or else I might even have to pity myself...
I for one values the effort put into the story the most. Animation quality etc is only good additional element that may or may not be necessary. but sad truth is, those brainless moe animes with no content are just destined to outshine good works like White Album~

Admit it...that it would be interesting to see how it would play out but what other theory do you have for Yayoi to stop Hiiragi?

Tell me about it the logic was completely off in Seiken no Blacksmith..completely out.

So yeah, Mana's character was developed this episode. It was pretty obvious she had issues with her mother, and her reactions, though seemingly exaggerated, could have been expected, considering what her mother is like (i.e. how she treats Menou and other employees). Yes, Touya did have sex at least twice in this episode.

As for the antagonists finally showing up, my guess is they will resort to blackmail, but the Yayoi/Touya relationship will eventually be made known and it will probably be the final stroke to finish the Touya/Yuki relationship. I think Rina probably has a pretty good idea of what's going on and won't be too shocked, but with Yuki gone she might go for Touya full throttle. Ah yeah, the father will die as a result of all this, Yuki might engage in self-damaging behaviour, her career will probably suffer a major blow, Eji will lose his mind for good, etc etc. I can't say I see Misaki's role in all this, though. And I don't know about Yuki's vow that she would wait for Touma forever if she has to..... potential love suicide material. This is, of course, all speculation on my part.

Edit: on a sidenote, do yourself a favour and drop The Sacred Blacksmith. That show was obvious garbage from the very first episode. Railgun, though loaded with fanservice, is still miles ahead in terms of quality both characterwise and storywise.

Seriously I think Yuki will kill Touya or somehow make him kill himself...I don't think she will be able to stomach...."I had sex witht Yayoi before you performance and had some after in her car not to mention many times before" thing once it is said....really I wonder what in the world will happen to Touya in the end......thanks for the confirmation BTW.

Ok. I feel pretty stupid right now, but help me out here: Why did Mana trash her room? It was something about Touya working for Rina/M3, am I right? If so, why would that information make Mana flip out?

I think it was being misunderstood by her mother that made her angry. Or maybe not exactly. The idea is, she used to disregard Touya saying he had Yuki as his girlfriend and his job being Rina's manager as pure fantasy on his part. She was in denial of that fact, and I think she has a big crush on Touya but doesn't want to admit it. Her mother was quite blunt when she saw the two of them together, and was like "so what have you two actually been doing in here?", implying they were having an indecent relationship. Now, Touya honestly denied that, and it is the truth, but maybe it kind of made Mana angry, both at herself for having a crush and at her mother for being so judgmental and looking down on her (i.e. "she never studies", etc. etc.) It is also pretty obvious that Mana actually wants her mother to love her and wants a bit of her attention, but even when she flipped out the mother was like "Fuji, you take care of it, I'm busy..."

S-stop it.... My eyes, as well as my heart won't be able to withstand another provocative screenshot like this one... *_________* though some part of me still yearns for MOAR though, I don't know what exactly do I want anymore...

And I have a bad feeling that Yayoi-sama is in danger because of that piece of shit of a low-life bitchpig named Hiiragi. I swear, whenever he appears, I so wanna punch my own screen... Gotta get a Death Note or something to kill him a the most painful way possible... >:(

Menou....Ahhhh, I know it's hard to believe it but she just took off Yayoi's sama #1 spot in my heart... Why can't more anime gals be like her and I'll make sure to watch every single one of them if they do <3333

I have a good hunch that she will be the heroine and save the day since she overheard and saw those bastards.... Awww, my love for her took a major boost thanks to that <3333 GO MENOU!!!!

Eiji still didn't get his hands on Yuki yet... How sad, Mana and Haruna still didn't get it on yet...How disappointing...:(

LOL All the characters in this series are either retard or weird, excepted Yayoi who is almost became a character that steal the show.

Anyway, this episode is one of the few interesting episodes in the series. And there are a few things that were twisted around.

Kanzaki said:
I'm counting on you, Menou. She's this close to breaking into the top ten.
This quote is kinda hold an interesting meaning or maybe that is just me.

And about Touya's dad seeing a girl who looks similar to Yuki, I guess DeathfireD's past statement might hit some of it.

Touya's thought said:
Haruka came back to life.
That is another big bone that they just threw at us in this episode which is something that we have been waiting for a long to see the light of it. Now it is pretty clear that Touya lost or forgot some important memories about the past. But by saying "Haruka came back to life." what exactly did he mean by that? We know that there is nothing wrong with Haruka.

I agree about this in the sense there is too condensation of events and not enough explanations....would noteDhero and DeathfireD please respond to something more with explanations about this but Wasabi is right in his own metaphor about how things went on this episode. The things were not ridiculous but to me they are just confusing. I hope my pics might help some clear up also. Looking at you DeathfireD and noteDhero...

Ummm...WTF!
I just now realized who Hiiragi was..., and was spent much of the episode making sure I knew who Tamaru was that I couldn't keep my head straight. There's one thing that I'm hazy on, and that was Tamaru's conversation with his dad. Is Misaki the girl he was talking about, or was it someone else? Because I vaguely remember thinking about Misaki and being pregnant last season during some kind of phone call at night also...but I feel like she's always on the phone in that same shot that I'm probably just confused.

Besides that, I felt like Mana's freak out was a little ridiculous, but then she's a child, so that's expected. Yuki's lame little lies are quite transparent, but Touya is so dumb it wouldn't really matter in the first place. The stuff with Haruka seems like nothing to me since we know nothing about her aside from the fact that she's gone bonkers since her brother died years ago. Eiji's crap with the painting doesn't bother me since I hope he goes utterly broke anyways, and I'm starting to feel like Kanzaki has missed out on a lot of the nuances of all the relationships even though she's the power player at the moment.

As far as Touya goes, I think it's clear that he is less scum than the average male. The fact is that he is so weak that he leads women on despite knowing what he is doing. We see him hold and kiss Rina when his inner monologue is "someone stop me." We see him constantly have sex with Yayoi even though he compares her to a thoughtless doll. We see him attempt to kiss Misaki even though we know he doesn't want to do it, just try to make her feel better. We see him loop himself into a date with the student affairs lady, even though he's saying (once again), "someone stop me." Then he ditches her in the middle of the date with no explanation the second Yayoi comes.

Once again, in this episode, he allows himself to be swept up in Yayoi, and even goes to see her. These are not the actions of a normal man. These are the actions of a man with little to no self esteem, self worth, or respect for other people's feelings. He has not done a single considerate thing in the course of this show, and I think that's quite a feat.

Also, this was a horrendous looking episode. Touya had about 5 different faces, Mana had 3, Kanzaki had 2, and there was that terrible, janky animation again that was rife in season 1. Because of that taking me out of the moment, I just couldn't really like the episode despite a lot of the reveals.

Same first impression after finishing it the first time...I have yet to know the subs but that will come soon. If there is anything about the pregnant thing then she must have gotten a abortion and it happened sometime where they do not tell us at all....could it be something to do when Touya took hold of her around her stomach when they were shopping around for the play materials?

I would not take Mana as a child by age but in mentality...yes! Also Mana's behaviour was ridiculous tough along the same lines but was more surprised as in O_O Haruka....we know she had a problem to learn tennis due to her brothers death....can it be she got over it somehow with this part of her playing tennis? Eiji ruined himself with his obsession so there is not feeling sorry for himself unless he gets over it somehow. I though Yuki could do that....guess not yet or cannot.

They are putting confusion on us to make it clear in the next episodes maybe? Once great writing....wish my english and thinking were as good as you to make things more interesting....well keep up the good commenting.

I have come to a sad conclusion after thinking about this to the point of depression with a high imagination but the logic cannot be denied anymore..... If you look at a scene from episode 7 and this episode about Misaki and Tamaru.....also take into consideration the words of the subs. I assume but it is logic that Tamaru made Misaki pregnant...that means she is no longer a virgin, had problems because of the pregnancy with the club and demanded lots of money for her personal expenses and abortion because Tamaru did not want the baby nor did the father accept his marriage. Kind of understand now Misaki and what she meant by the many things from season 1.....especially inside the theater with Fujii....having taken your virginity, a pregnancy that ends up in abortion and having to demand money from the father.....a girl would think she is broken. What worries me is if Akira can handle it? I also think Tamaru lied to his father about Misaki of being a celebrity/maybe some girl of a rich/political family, he did lie to Hiiragi about stabbing because he never used a real knife. This is all based on the two following scenes and what was said between Tamaru/his father. If you compare both pics that is Misaki taking money and below is the father but above it is also the father if compared. So I don't think my logic is bad but if so Tamaru is worst scum than Fujii for having done something like that....Fujii does not even know this.

Yeah, I figured abortion had something to do with it, and the conversation with Tamaru's father was the only thing that pointed in that direction. This is the main problem when you have a show that is so dependent upon small plot details if you take a 6 month break between seasons. A lot of the nuance is lost just because you're trying to wrap your head around what happened in the previous season.

I still would like to know whether or not I was right about thinking it had been intimated that Misaki was pregnant though. I just don't care enough to look back at previous episodes/discussions to check if I wrote anything.

I think it was intimated about her abortion....around the play part of Tamaru with Misaki/Fujii pairing but you have to read between the lines. There is almost no details or direct saying that I remind myself....the thing of Misaki being tainted does make sense more now that part was around the play of Tamaru when they were sneaking before the ambulance came to get her.

In spoiler my anime list for now.

This is my endgame (prays to God):

Touya and Misaki get stabbed by Drama Club President.
Haruka commits suicide because her fragile mind can't take Touya's death.
ex-Manager goes psycho at the concert and with a gun, kills Yayoi, Yuki, and Rina.
Mana kills herself since she's a Yuki stalker.
Eiji goes psycho from his ridiculous machinations and the loss of his two moneymakers.

I said that at episode 10 of the first season.
Pretty damn funny considering I still want all of this to happen except for Mana killing herself. Though, admittedly, I don't think any of it is going to happen anymore.

edit: It's just so hard to say, because this episode made me feel like I remembered something very important.

Woah surprise, huh?
And wth ambush lol xD..

I'm starting to hate Yayoi with a passion. Almost as with Yuka in 11eyes although in this case it's more that she's inviting awkward situations every time she's near. (Yuka on the other hand should die for being so annoying)

And uuh.. Mana-rage?
Seems like Kanzaki actually cares about Mana? xD

What a trainwreck this episode was. If the train didn't already fall off a cliff and explode into a fireball, it definitely would've now. So many ridiculous things happened in this one episode.

Things are getting quite screwed up aren't they?

Anyway, I wonder how long it'll be before Touya realizes that he's doing stuff that he really shouldn't?

@noteDhero - you basically summed up everything I've been trying to say about Touya since the beginning. He's just trying to please everyone without realizing he's just making shit worse. He's too weak to put his food down and say NO...although a few episodes he was rejecting Yayoi and it seemed like he was finally going to sort his feelings out about Yuki. But NOOOOO they revert his personality back :(.

I was never under the impression that Misaki was preggos. Although I did believe she was raped by him, as I mentioned a while back when people where posting hate messages about how she doesn't put out to her b/f lol. Clearly a girl that was raped would be scared to have sex again. I suppose if she was preggos all the more reason to be scared or cautious. Quite frankly, that whole story bores me to death. I know somehow they're gonna try and tie it into the major story but even still, I find it boring to try and decipher that mess.

So my assumption about Haruka either ]training to become a tennis player or killing herself was right. I wonder if she'll make it to becoming a sports idol. Would be ironic if everyone in the show becomes a star except for Touya.

As for Touya's dad...I think it's pretty obvious that Yuki is related to him in some way. When he's looking at Yuki he sees another women, presumably his wife or another lover that looks exactly like Yuki.

Another hint is that he's got something to tell Touya but every time he mentions Yuki, Touya stops him from continuing and calls him names. I suspect Touya might already know he's related to Yuki but doesn't want to admit it or accept it. It may also explain why he's so harsh on his dad. He's not just angry that he cheated but also because the girl he likes may actually be his step sister. He also calls his dad a pervert so it's still possible that his dad cheated or, at the very least, started dating another women once Touya's mom died. Whether or not it was Yuki's mom is another question. Yuki's the same age as Touya so that would mean he'd have to have been doing two women around the same time. Again these are all just guesses I've been posting since they started dropping hints.

One other thing to keep in mind. We haven't heard anything about Yuki's parents. We've never seen them and they've never visited her before a concert. She's always at work but somehow finds a way to visit Touya's dad. Either they're trying hard to keep parents out of this series or they're planning for a twist real soon ;).

LOL All the characters in this series are either retard or weird, excepted Yayoi who is almost became a character that steal the show.

Anyway, this episode is one of the few interesting episodes in the series. And there are a few things that were twisted around.

That is excellent information about your thinking on Touya's dad/Yuki/Touya relation! About Misaki I also was not unders the impression at all in the first season but I understand her better....it would good to see her reactions again in the first season and thinkng that she was raped/pregnant then forced to have a abortion. BTW did it cost in those days for abortion?

In those days abortion was not a common practice...I'm not even sure it was legal yet. It might have been in Japan though. Most women would do self abortions on themselves by used clothes hangers or other objects which often resulted in them accidentally killing themselves too. Assuming the drama kid's dad was referring to Misaki when he mentioned paying for abortion, then we can guess that she had it done by a doctor secretly. I'm still not convinced Misaki was preggos though. The drama kid just likes to fuck chicks is all.

Yeah but it was Misaki in the pic I took to prove that exhorted the money so she might have been lying then Tamaru is a fool to have believed her if she was pregnant then your statement stays and if she went as far as hurt herself to get rid of the baby then she is seriously damaged goods as some people say for someone with a dramatic event.

Well, people seem to be pretty good at coming up with interesting details, that sometimes don't even have the slightest to do with the actual story : D And such people are apparantly easily attracted to a certain show about a jerk and his life as a jerk.. wait, and all the women from whom he can't decide which one he wants to be with.

Same exact thoughts here. LOL

Touya's thoughts on the ending of the episode: "Haruka. She's reborn." Ugghh like he cares in the first place, maybe he's starting to realize people move on with their lives and that the world doesn't revolve around him! :P
You see there's no need to wonder where your god is,

Mana finally accepted the truth. I loved the scene that featured Tamaru crying. He's crazy, and it's great to see that he is being punished by his father. I don't get the last scene though. They showed Haruka playing tennis, and said that she was reborn. Was she playing with Mana, and was it implying that Mana helped Haruka be reborn. Or was it saying that Mana and Haruka are one in the same. Hence Mana was reborn as Haruka. Maybe I'm over analyzing it.

Damn is Yayo bold. She came into the men's bathroom jsut to get Touya's dick in her. They had sex in the bathroom and they weren't even that far from Rina or Yuki. HOw can Touya say to Yuki or anyone "I love you." I really do hope he ends up alone or broken.

Don;t know why Touya keeps insulting his father. Does he really care about him?

I don't know much about the White Album games, but so far it feels like Touya is purposefully heading towards the worst possible route and is sometimes being an utter scumbag. Season 1 seemed like this was the case, but season 2 is confirming it so far.
