| Damippos was able to get Claudia released and they decide to escape from the city. Claudia gets killed during the process and Damippos is questioned by the Romans. He ends up selling out the city of Syracuse, but tries to negotiate terms for the Romans to follow, like not harming the citizens after taking the city and sparing Archimedes. Archimedes is old and going senile and doesn't even realize the Romans have invaded already and taken over. He gets into it with a roman soldier and is killed despite the general's promise to spare him. Damippos is regretful for selling out Syracuse and Archimedes and decides to go back home to Sparta. All in all, not a bad little manga here about an interesting period of history. I would have liked to have seen this manga fleshed out a bit more, but for 6 chapters, it did well touching on the history, but retaining focus on Archimedes. I give it a 7/10. |
| Tragic that Claudia had to die like that. I also thought that this was a pretty good read. In particular liked the parts where Archimedes inventions and Damippos did some damage (thinking that it more ot less went down like that is a bit mind-blowing) The latter also a seriously clever character like Eumenes from Historie. |
