| I do agree that this anime is certainly targeted mostly to the already established fanbase who are just happy to see their favourite demon bro's shenanigans animated. But even beside that, this is a pretty good little series in my opinion. I love the VAs work here, they are just as good as they are in the game and i'm happy that they will hopefully get more recognition through this. I really enjoy the style of a more casual little peek into the "daily lives of the demon brothers" instead of the whole actual game plot kind of thing. And yea i agree with some others here, that the animation is rlly good for what they want to achieve. Everyone bases their scores/opinions on anime on different things and for me, i always try to think about what they wanted to do with this (e.g. who did they want to reach, what did they want to tell with the story they inlcuded etc.) and if they used their means in a way thats plausable or focused on those things, so even little series like this can have just as high of a rating as some bigger productions. That said, i do hope this anime reaches some new people that might become interested in knowing more about the world and characters of obey me through this, or maybe just enjoy this cute little series on its own :3 |

Right, i absolutly agree on that but as you already said, its only 5 min long- And tbh, the voice acting, story and animation overal arent that impressive anyways- i mean, look at aot, fullmetal etc- But if you like it then im glad:) this is the first time i've seen someone compare a harem anime to legends like aot and alchemist... obey me belongs to a completely different genre, which was never kinda meant to be something top-quality like the well-known shonens. soooo i think you're being a little unfair here. if you want something for comparison, i suggest taking a look at stuff like uta no prince-sama or diabolik lovers (especially the latter, since it's a series of 10-min episodes which is a game adaptation like obey me). as someone who has come across lots of harems (and reversed harems) i can say that none of them aim to be "legendary" or "exquisite", their goal is to attractively showcase the characters who are to be adored by the audience. it's a commercial thing in many ways, too. i'd say people are in no way overreacting - they are having the reaction which is expected from the target audience of this genre. if you said this anime isn't as good as it might have been because the acting could've been more dynamic, thus captivating the viewer, or some better in-depth plot would give potential to character development, i would totally, absolutely agree with you - and i do think the show isn't that good for these exact reasons. but like, what were you expecting from this anime to be comparing it to aot now........... |

| I'm not sure how someone who hasn't played Obey Me! would enjoy this anime, but I really enjoy it as someone who has played it. I sort of thought this would be similar to Diabolik Lovers which is an anime I've seen and a game I have not played (which I enjoyed anyway), but it seems to be a lot different. Episode 1 was really cute. It's not going to have animation like Jujutsu Kaisen or an amazing story like Attack on Titan but that doesn't mean it's a bad anime. The characters are all likeable and the VAs are doing a fine job in my opinion. It seems like a wholesome, funny anime and I'll definitely keep watching it. abyss_will said: looks like a yaoi anime All of the main boys are related. | I am happy that at least for those 5 minutes, we get good performance of the VAs and good animation. I was not hyped at all for it, but this first episode really made me laugh. See it as a ordinary video you watch when you do not have anything to do or you have a small amount of time to spare. It's a good use of 5 minutes in my opinion since those are comedy focus ^^ and not the usual anime series. Might not have the same effect if you did not play the game before tho :D |
| It's a mobile game advertisement. If you watch it with those expectations, you'll probably be impressed. At the end of the day, it is an extended commercial rather than a TV anime most people come to expect. The high score is from fans who are rightfully happy with it. They're the target audience after all. |

| Of course, I wish it to be longer. That's literally the only thing I personally find unlikeable. Obviously as someone who has played the game everyday for a little over a year, it's hard for me to not be in love with it in its entirety though. However, for someone who hasn't played and is not familiar with this world, I can see how it wouldn't appeal to them. Animation-wise, it is okay. Voice is good. Story? Story????? It's understandable for that to be the lacking point. These short clips aren't giving us a masterpiece in the plot department. However, completely different point, but the story presented in the game is a treasure in my opinion. This anime is simply a treat for the community. For the other folks, it is promotion and serves as a marketing mechanism to convince them to enter the Obey Me community. |

| Eeeh, i think it's ok overall. Animation doesn't look stable, as some part is smooth then there's a part where they just recycled the previous animation. Voice acting is a bit unstable too since i think i kind of see some actually missed the timing...? Plot is... Actually very enjoyable, but that's due to me have played the game before. I'm 100% sure it'll confuse non-player tho (lol). One big mystery is, how did my boi Mammon get even more handsome in the anime. I actually feel he's more good looking than his normal sprite in-game LMAO XD |

| i'm not super into otome games, so i haven't played the original game, but the anime is as you said, okay at best. i also don't love short anime episodes, since i feel like most of them can't make it seem like an episode, but more of a short or trailer. the seiyuu's and animation was pretty nice, though. |
| I agree, it could have been better, tho its nice to see them in more "anime style" and characters behavior is showed well, also voice actors did good job! Its only the beginning, we will see, maby with next episodes it will get more intresting^^ |

| One disappointing thing is how really short the first episode was. I thought they were going with 8 minutes for each episodes but... well. At least, one sure thing is, the show is gonna be really fun. |

| To me, someone who has nothing to do with the game, it's average at best, boring and a waste of time at worst. I mean, boys are pretty and assorted, but that's it, and barebones fanservice is not just enough for anyone who isn't a fujo and/or a very dedicated fan of the game, so barely a 5/10. Seeing the current MAL score of 7.71 makes it clear that it's mostly the game fans who are watching this and they're overreacting, to put it mildly, big time. PS. I like the ending song a lot though. Is a full version going to be released sometime, I wonder? |
