Mei sexually assaults Yuzu several times at the beginning of their relationship.

While some of the scenes can be explained away by Mei's own trauma, a lot of it is way unnecessary and uncomfortable.

Man I’m not a lesbian, but I sure as hell like the show. Yea their may be scene were someone’s get quote on quote sexual assaulted. That’s just how the anime is and if she was getting “sexually assaulted” I’m pretty sure people would make a big deal over it.

Because their relationship is not healthy and is kinda toxic, especially in the beginning? Mei takes often advantage of Yuzu knowing how she feels and hurts her that way. Manga is not as bad because they get more space to explain stuff, but there are still shoujo ai series with healthier relationships. Also lot of unneccessary drama.

Because everyone likes getting triggered over nothing. Great anime. If you enjoyed it I HIGHLY recommend finishing the second half of the story in the manga. It looks spectacular and the ending is amazing 👍

Their relationship is SUPER toxic, it's better in the manga because it goes by pretty fast and doesn't feel as bad then gets healthier... But that doesn't fix how toxic it was. Not even just Mei, but that pink haired lady too (don't know names because I watched it a long time ago)


I watched this when I was younger and could handle more, but the amount of sexual assault and love triangles and toying with feelings and other toxic things would probably make me stop if I tried now (not just because I don't like it, but because I'd get nauseous)

Don’t know deserves atleast a 7 in my opinion although some people just don’t like Yuri. Saw one guy say this anime lacked boy characters and gave it a 3 like what that’s the whole purpose of a Yuri.

I really like yuri in generally and I gave 3 for this.

their relationship was toxic asf. i didn’t enjoy it that much because of mei taking advantage of yuzu’s feelings and hurting her and i didn’t like how yuzu will say that mei needs family and then some how ends up kissing her by the end of the episode.

The “relationship” is toxic and gross, there’s tons of sexual assault and harassment even though they’re KIDS, and it promotes the idea that step-siblings aren’t REAL family and that’s fucked up. The amount of men in these comments acting like that isn’t a big deal and is a good representation of a lesbian relationship is appalling. Y’all really only see lesbians as sexual objects huh

Since i like yuri and incest, i like this show, but some people don't, so it's understandable. Not to mention that at first Mei is quite toxic, which makes it a little difficult to like her and the anime.

Well I am neutral towards the series, it was neither the best nor the worst but one thing really disappointed me that series didn't seem to show the best kind of chemistry between the mei and yuzu

Because the anime is trash, duh.
Mei and Yuzu's relationship is poorly developed and the story is bad-written
Read light novels!
2023 Update: Do NOT read light novels. Regular novels are better. Glory to Haruki Murakami!!!

The ending of the anime is not rewarding whatsoever. The problem with the anime is not that it is Yuri or that it covers topics such as... Basically sexual assault very immaturely... The problem is that the plot and the characters are... Not that likeable and that the ending is just... Not good enough to justify the time spent watching it. If there was a second season to back this up, there might even be a point... But there isn't.

incest wincest...I found the show to be entertaining. Compared to most romances I’ve watched, Citrus was solidly mediocre. As far as Shoujos go, I much prefer the more vanilla Adachi to Shimamura.

Also, you sounds like someone who might like Domestic Girlfriend, if, like me, step-siblings don’t qualify as invest for you
