| ''Nomad'' Joe ends up as an underground boxer again with nothing left. Just pills to keep him alive. The symbolism with the werewolf was pretty nice, just like season 1.Ends up fighting ''Chief'' Mexican Spider. They're both downgraded, what happend to them? This was such an interesting first episode. Can't wait to know what happend to them. Yuri's student is the one that beat Joe and made him like that I guess. Oh nvm, he isn't spider xD |

| Damn, what a change from season 1. The artstyle still has the 2000's anime feel to it but its definitely much, much sharper and cleaner. The animation is pretty good too. |
| Great to see a sequel although sad that Joe is in such a miserable state with him taking meds, unwllingly fight fixed matches and most tragic seeing hallucinations of coach Nanbu. |

| Damn Joe has changed so much. He's wasted himself with those painkillers and alcohol. The beard looks dope though. Also the coach is dead I presume. He's still clinging onto his memories. Also the show's aesthetic is so good. It's darker and grittier than before. The OST was pretty good. |

| This was a great first episode, it seems that the glory days are gone now... can't wait to see where it goes from here. Apparently the new character is similar to one from Ashita no Joe which I'm going to watch sometime after I finish this Rewatching Edit: I can’t believe I never appreciated the artstyle and cinematography of this series. Rewatching this second season because of the hispanic influences and to see if my opinion has improved from s 9. |

| A pretty bad pilot episode, objectively speaking, it's not doing anything to hook us up for a whole followup season, except showing that everything's gone down to shit during the time skip. I find this type of "hook" to be very weak as it relies solely on watchers' investment in the characters, and even if that's a given (which it certainly isn't for Megalo Box, Joe is far from having a huge fanbase, e.g. Ippo has about 5 times more favs on this site) it works much better when it's combined with an actual plot development in the present. Aaaaanyway, I'll try to stick with this sequel for a couple more episodes. |

| Rough time for Joe, now called Nomad. Man... seven years! I can't believe they did a time skip so long. Underground matches are rigged... it's always the same. The Mexican boxer is great. Feels bad, Nanbu lives in Joe's head like Paulie with Rocky Balboa. Now it really feels an original series, without trying to be an homage to Ashita no Joe. Not bad as a start, but I'm a bit worried because I have no idea about the plot. Great music by the way. |
