| So I wrote this essay on my own thoughts (https://fudanshiessayist.medium.com/seku-tsuga-narrative-analysis-c95d6ea65466) but basically: I can't tell what I think about the ending. One one hand it feels satisfying, but on the other hand it seems to actively contradict some of the messages the narrative built up (about the main character's nonconformity, about his passion for his work being so important to him, etc). I want to here other people's thoughts. |
