I agree that some of this is similar to Steins;Gate or SAO (especially Alicization arc), although I think it's closer to SAO or even something like Orange, than Steins;Gate. Let me take a stab at these questions from my perspective.
hacker09 said:1 Did the kid version of Naomi Katagaki deleted his future Naomi Katagaki version? I believe that most of the movie is told in an unreliable narrative style, such that we can't accept on face value what most of the movie shows us as true. We should accept that there is a "real" Katagaki living somewhere in a futuristic space lab, but the other Katagakis, whether the kid or adult versions, might be real, part real, or complete figments of the real Katagaki's imagination. So the adult Katagaki either never existed to begin with, or the exact events didn't play out as it was shown. It was a mish-mash of truth and imagination necessary to cause the real Katagaki to wake up.
hacker09 said:2 Why did they appear on the moon? (this didn't seem to be something happening inside someone's mind!) Because that was the real Katagaki, and the real Ichigyou, who appears to be running a version of the experiment to get Katagaki to awake from his coma.
hacker09 said:3 So actually the movie showed in the end that Ruri Ichigyou was alive during these 10 years, and because she loves Naomi Katagaki she was the one that tried to synchronize his mind and body, instead of being the opposite? (Actually the whole movie (Except for the end) shows that Naomi Katagaki is the one trying to "Save" Ruri Ichigyou) It could be interpreted that way, but really, I don't think we actually "know" that those 10 years really existed. We just know that what was shown was necessary for Katagaki to synchronize and wake up. Really, it was Ichigyou that was trying to save Katagaki.
hacker09 said:If my 3 question is true (Ruri Ichigyou was trying to save Naomi Katagaki AND NOT THE OPPOSITE)
4 Did Naomi Katagaki took the lightning instead of Ruri Ichigyoui? Katagaki took the lightning, but that version of Katagaki is part of imagination of the real Katagaki (on the moon). Whether kid Katagaki is actually real, whether he got struck by lightning of not at some point in the real timeline is unknown to us. There's a chance that was a real event, and also a chance that was part made up to get Katagaki to where he needed to be mentally to synchronize, just like how the "adult" Katagaki tried to get Ichigyou to sync up to "adult" Ichigyou mentally, even though that bridge incident obviously would not have played out in the same way in the real world.
hacker09 said:who was as the crow? (I was thinking that was the own system, but this doesn't make sense), the theory about this question in https://pastebin.com/6LYXsH8p It's really good and nice, but I'm not sure if it's true... I don't know this, and I think a lot of people (like this pastebin) are speculating a lot of things that are not really shown, or even fully hinted at in the movie. They could be right or not. I think much of this is left up to our interpretation, and that's what the movie intends. It might make sense that the crow is some machination by the scientists (i.e. "real" Ichigyou and her team) to aid them in waking Katagaki up, but who knows?
hacker09 said:also on https://pastebin.com/6LYXsH8p in "1.4) what are they doing on the moon?", his theory is good too, but I'm not sure if it's true... I think his theory has inconsistencies in terms of why Ichigyou's mind data is sent to AT2, but Katagaki's mind data is sent to the real world. It also assumes that adult Katagaki was real before the jump, but went into a simulation after the jump. I personally think it makes more sense to assume that he simply went back to where he came from, another simulation, whereas both adult and kid Katagaki were simulated to synchronize with the real Katagaki (whose "true" past story is unknown). After all, there is a continuity between the kid Katagaki at the beginning of the movie and the kid Katagaki when he went into "AT2" to save Ichigyou from adult Katagaki's world. Assuming that's the same kid, then the one that would be synchronized to real Katagaki on the space station would be the kid at the end of the movie, not the adult. That kid ended up in a new ALLTALE world without the fox agents limiting its data, which could be a metaphor for the real world in real Katagaki's mind. There's no reason, in my opinion, to assume that real Katagaki is adult Katagaki when adult Katagaki is just a throwaway character to get kid Katagaki where he needed to be.
Yeah, my problem with this theory is the same as I described above. It assumes too much. I'm a fan of Occam's Razor. But like I said, the movie intends to let us interpret. |
