| So I just watched the second episode and when I saw the goblin kids I started to wonder what happens when they are born? Does Rimuru-sama get to name them (and if he does do they evolve immediately) or do the parents name them (and if they do they evolve like they would if someone else like Rimuru-sama names them) or do they just remain unnamed (and/or unevolved)? Is this explained anywhere in the manga? If not what do you guys think is happening and why? |

| I assume their parents name them. If they choose to become soldiers in the future, Rimuru can just overwrite their names like he did with Gabiru. |

I mean we don't know how Ranga's species mate and if they even have females among them so maybe it's something like once every x years and they meet with a female clan of their species or something like that and that's when the magic happens lmao and I think the Orc also don't have the women among them and besides they're too focused on work to even think about children, as for Lizardmen I think it's just too little of a number of them in the Rimuru nation so they could fall in love with each other, almost all of them stayed back home after all, for Kijins/Ogres I would imagine they're too young for that/they haven't met the reproductory age and besides they also don't have many members so they won't force themselves to fall in love with -> and that leaves us with hundreds of goblins who have more than enough choice to find the loves of their life! |

I was considering that too but then again I thought why were they unnamed before they met Rimuru if the parents could just give them their name just to call them somehow you know what I mean? |
Blazerisbest said: I watched the anime up til current have read manga up til current and now im in reading the web novel and im on chapter 120 and I still dont know who names them I would assume the most likely is that rimuru would name the children and I cant completely rule out parents naming them but I can say the chances are pretty low because its stated at least in the anime to name something u must be of a much superior species and at this point in time he seems to be naming all the goblins so I would also assume they dont go unnamed that's a good point! it's probably one of his jobs as a leader anyway |

| I highly doubt Rimuru would be willing to go down the naming Hell again like back in the orcs lord arc lol based on Milim POV in the LN vol 3 its confirmed that not all JTF denizens are named I vaguely remember somewhere in the LN its implied(by Rimuru himself) that the kids are named by their parents but with the support of Rimuru or more like the support of Great Sage/ Raphael, ofc in order to minimize the risk of naming. fyi, Raphael is omnipresent, she can pop up within all the monsters minds under Rimuru. supporting or helping everyone with many things and everyone ofc thinks Raphael and Rimuru are the same person |

| I personally think naming their children is not necessary because after their parents was named, their race also evolved so the kids will born with the same race with their parents |
