Nah i am in for some guilty pleasure anime, anime that so bad it's so good to accompany me in my weekend after 5 days of working, which is why i crave bad anime like this every season for that particular reason, so that's why i put my faith on this one which is, well...failed. Ngl it's still entertaining in painful way, but unlike isekai smartphone, isekai maou, darling in the franxx, or redo of healer entertaining way which is exactly the guilty pleasure i was looking.. In the end it's just goddamn boring, i finished it because it's not exactly the worst kind of anime that makes me decide to drop it in the middle of season. Also please stop with "Why you watch it if you don't like it?" type of argument, there is no value in it, no one precisely knows the show is bad if they don't watch it first, am i right? And if someone says he doesn't want watch certain anime because it's "bad", pretty sure people would come with "You haven't watched it yet, so you don't know it's bad or not, therefore your opinion is wrong", which just creates an endless cycle ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I watched it and simply don't like it, that's my opinion about this anime.. |

Sure you need to watch the anime before saying that it's bad. That i agree 100% with you, but it doesn't mean you need to watch the whole thing to know if it's bad or not. Some animes are harder to judge from the beginning and they may change completely (for better or worse) latter, but not all animes are like that. In the case of this anime, ANYONE who has watched until episode 5 (actually episode 3 would be enough) can tell what kind of anime this is and how it's going to progress. You said it was unbearable to watch this anime so you could clearly have dropped it because it was painful clear that the anime would not improve or change. So either you like to suffer, have too much free time or simply have yet to learn how to judge an anime. |

Tbh i may exaggerrate in my first comment for the effect, saying it's unbearable, which sounds like i despise it so hard, my bad for that.. In fact this anime is terrible for sure but not to the point it made me suffer i guess, it's just meh and boring but doesn't feel like i could not finish it because well..there is nothing on this anime that exactly made me sick or mad, and it kinda fits to accompany you while eating breakfast or lunch, so that's why i decided to finish it.. |

This anime was was average at best, but at least it was very light for the most part which made it easy to watch. I knew the story was not going to go anywhere, but the thing that disappointed me was that the fanservice also didn't go anywhere...and became worse too. |

| nah, it came out in January 2021 so it is just a bit more than 4 years old. with no news since then it won't happen. also, if you go on the Wikipedia page for the LN series you can see via the Chapter titles that 'The Fake Olivia' (Noir's master's copy Chapter) and the final Arc of the anime is in LN Volume 5 published in March 2020. you can also see by the various Chapter Titles in LN Vols 1-5... that a WHOLE TON of Chapters didn't make it into the anime. if you have good Japanese reading skills (or a webpage translator extension) you can get on https://kc.kodansha.co.jp/title?page=1&code=1000030038 the Japanese LN publisher's website and see all TWELVE Volumes of this series. or their manga tankobon/omnibus books... it isn't always easy to tell (even with translator Extensions) which are the LN and which are the manga tankobon. so with more content to turn into anime, why hasn't a 2nd Season been announced in 4 years? nobody's willing to fund it, sorry. i also dug around even MORE on this franchise. the author abandoned it! well i think they did, after LN Vol6 every Volume on Kodansha's website lists ONLY the mangaka Hino Tomoyuki as the author and the original LN author Seto Meguru has been demoted to "Original work"... so, now it is a manga-only franchise? |

| @YoukaiKouhai ah, which part? i posited similar ideas over there on the 'overview Light Novel' page listing Vols. 1-6... same name here as on Fandom, even spelling as well as profile picture. the November 2024 posting? that one does only seem to ask questions or repeat rumors the commentor 'heard'. most of the fanscanslations sites i checked a few minutes ago stop at manga chapter 65 or 64 but one did run up to chapter 99 and another had up to chapter 86... and even though i'm absolutely NOT a regular manga reader... 30+ years i've watched anime and only ever read 1 manga... (My First Girlfriend is a Gal) looking at the first page of Ch86? that art sucks. it is terrible! the only reason i recognized Noir in the first panel? his vest's neck strap and buckle, his kidney's armor with the belt around it, and that's it. TWO clothing items was the only way i recognized at first glance the MC of the whole thing. compared to American comic book art? that one panel? nobody would hire that guy, maybe to illustrate children's books for under 10-year-olds... how can anybody read that? i scrolled down (English text on that one and expertly done so probably a fanscan of Seven Sea's work) like four pages... after the pixie makes Noir grope that girl's boobs... and it... got worse! the art DEVOLVED in several panels to vague, sloppy, blobbish not even SHAPES... i couldn't even tell in a few panels what was humanoid, bipedal, two limbs known as arms... i couldn't even tell what was a head! now understand me here, i am NOT busting all manga's chops... the one i had read 91 chapters of 'MFGFIAG'... looked LIGHT-YEARS better than that one. that one, was all chibi art! it was vague faces and jointless bodies and terrible proportions... it looked like two plushies of people interacting on a page. how can anybody read that??? or buy it? frankly??? if ALL the content after LN Volume 6 looks like that?!? i am NOT surprised nobody in Japan is looking to fund a second season of Hidden Dungeon. |
