| Bandai Namco Arts and DeNA announced an original project titled Takt Op. on Friday. The companies also opened an official website, revealing the cast, participating creators, project promo, and main visual (pictured next to project promo). The mixed-media project will include a television anime and game, and is scheduled to debut this year. Introduction The musical composition formed a dwelling power in the girl. A legendary opera, a magnificent composition created in the past. A new life—"Musicart"—imbued with the score. An ephemeral, beautiful, and fateful tale of girls fighting with the power of musical scores in a world where music has been forgotten. They just aim for the delight that lies beyond. Takt Op. connects music to tomorrow. "Unmei" ("Fate"): Kaede Hondo (Majo no Tabitabi) Carries the score for Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in C Minor Op. 67.  "Mokusei" ("Jupiter"): Natsu Yorita (Koisuru Asteroid) Carries the score for Gustav Holst's Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity Suite 'The Planets' Op. 32-4.  "Kirakira-boshi" ("Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"): Maria Sashide (Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita!) Carries the score for Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Ah vous dirai-je, Maman" K.265 (300e) - 12 Variations in C Major for Piano.  "Walküre" ("Valkyrie"): Sumire Uesaka (Overlord) Carries the score for Richard Wagner's Die Walküre.  "Carmen": Yumiri Hanamori (Yuru Camp△) Carries the score for Georges Bizet's Carmen opera.   Composer Marasy is the key pianist, and conductor Hirofumi Kurita is credited for the musical research. | Interesting PV. If the actual animation style turns out different, I'm not sure if it'll be able to meet expectations. I'll check it out if it really comes out in 2021. Stars-Soul said: Last year, there was a similar anime but it turned out disappointing, I think that's mostly because the majority of references to music and artists in Listeners went over many people's heads. There were about 10 people who recognized Einstürzende Neubauten in that show. |

| Soo....from the promo i gather that this is like Bungou to Alchemist, where instead of monsters trying to destroy the literature of the world, it's monsters trying to destroy the music of the world instead? And like Touken Ranbu in that the girls are the human form of the musical scores? And you as the conductor(or saniwa in Touken Ranbu, alchemist librarian in Bungou to Alchemist) are leading these girls to battle against the threat of the monsters? I usually steer clear of anime with all girls cast but i like the character designs, it's not your average run of the mill anime art and i like the concept, so i might give this a try if it's like the aformentioned franchises. |
