Why can't Rimuru eat Clayman and become a demon lord??

I mean in the series ,he pretty much does this.He ate shizu and became a human, ate the leader of wolves and became a darewolf,So wont that same skill can be used to become a demon lord??

I guess it isnt that easy to become demon lord even by Rimuru's eating skill since he already ate the Orc Disaster which was a demon lord but he didn't turn into one automatically, he only got some demon lord seed.

In anycase killing 10000 weak human soldiers seems much easier to do than eating Clayman.

His mimicry would allow him to reproduce Clayman's race and form but an awakened Demon Lord is something different, in the same way a Hero isn't a race you can copy.

There is many answers to this
1. Eating more than 10k people is easier than eating 1 demon lord
2. Why Rimuru become an true demon lord is so he can use an magic to his friends so they can back alive, that magic is only able for an true demon lord use it, and eating clayman only make him as an “copy” of an demon lord,
The way to him become a demon lord is kill more than 10k human
3.he want an revange
4.when orc disaster arc, rimuru has eaten an demon lord but its not making him as an demon lord

He didnt become Human or wolf, he can just mimic their appearance. Anime already explained the conditions to become True Demon Lord.

If Clayman is not that powerful, as even Remuru stated he wants to become a real demon lord, meaning that now he is not, why is he so annoying and nobody put a finish in his deeds yet?

True Demon Lord Evolution requires "certain/specific conditions" and that condition is 10000 souls. Clayman is a powerful Majin, but he's not 10000 souls (he's technically only "one" soul).

An example: becoming a True Demon Lord is kinda like Pokemon Evolution where it's a different process than a normal evolution (like naming). One can't just beat other Pokemon and "level up" to evolve.

Rimuru beating Clayman would be like if Meltan beats Zapdos: it may become stronger (gain lots of EXP) and learn new moves, but that won't make it Melmetal.

The same for Rimuru; he may go beat up monsters/enemies left and right and gain strength and varied skills(gain EXP and learn new moves), but that won't make him a True Demon Lord.

I have a question. each time Rimuru ate someone(monsters etc) he got some new skills like eating Shizue, Ifrite, Geld etc. so now after eating Clayman what skills he will get?
