They won. Support ace, huh, and that doesn't surprise Hanazawa-san's character.

Yellow team staying formation, but alternative formation can be considered. Pink team got affected by main team.

There's different wires in visual? The team is now on #4 in ranking from #7.

Pink team still willing to support that rebellion girl.

Announcement of temporary joining. That alien guy wanting to be another ace to improve the weakness.

Engineer? He is the first species of the friend guy.

Asking higher up for approval for the addition.

This episode was rather quiet, which is welcoming after all the action packed episodes.

I am glad that the commentators held off to after the battle ended to discuss the contents and strategies of the overall battle. If they did so as much during the battles, the previous 2 episodes would have been bogged down with too many interruptions from the fight to make the entire battle as engaging as it was. Also glad that they didn't just spill the beans on Osamu's trick with the spiderweb's wires.

About Hyuse joining their team, I don't like the idea that much. While a fighter of his skill will help greatly, it feels too much like cheating. "Hey, that guy is awesome, let's just add him to our team in the middle of the tournament". While obviously it is apparently within the rules to do, it still feels underhanded. I hope they lose their next match just to show that adding him doesn't guarantee victory, since adding teammates can ruin their overall teamwork.

Either way, the next battle should be really entertaining assuming he is allowed to join, which I assume he will be.

A pretty bare-bones setup episode for getting Hyuse on the team. I like that his condition of not revealing information stays true, as that is realistic given the situation and the character.

I do hope that instead of relying on Hyuse as a second Ace, Osamu uses him primarily as an instructor in their next battle, hopefully working on breaking china's shooting problem, and, as he is an experienced combatant, might help Osamu train and become that "Second Ace" that the team needs. Hopefully Osamu uses Hyuse as an instructor, and that will benefit the team better, than creating a dependence on Hyuse. That seems to be Osamu's best choice for how he implements Hyuse into the team. What Y'all think?

With that proposition of Hyuse joining the team it's gonna be more and more interesting, but he still doesn't want to give them more information, so I don't really know what can happen

I'm not a big fan of your "Osamu should just get stronger" idea. Osamu is already training to get better, and has trained with very capable Border agents. Same goes for Chika. Recruiting Hyuse to instantly beef up the team's overall strength is clearly the better option.

Osamu never and won't be Ace of team. Osamu isn't your usual shonen MC.
he doesn't have natural talent like Shoyo Hinata or Senku
he doesn't have inner monster like Naruto or Yuji Itadori
he doesn't have royal/special bloodline like Gon or Soma
he doesn't have OP mentor like All Might or Gojo
he is true definition of ordinary MC who really started from bottom of power system and even with that setup, he is most popular character in World Trigger (won first and second world trigger character poll)

what he has are hard work, want to learn from mistake and determination and what he always want with this team is use second ace so Yuma doesn't take too much burden. Remember before the idea of Hyuse joining the squad, Osamu asked Jin first to join Tamakoma-2. One thing about World Trigger is it is not about individual raw strength, it is about teamwork, strategy and mind games.

Yeah, definitely Hyuse should be used as part of the team for the time being, but what happens when Hyuse is gone? Unless mainly Osamu improves physically, and becoming a reliable, maybe not Kuga level, support, the team cannot deal with plan failure because right now the only reason that Osamu held his own in the latest episode was because he had a superior strategy. But if his plan had not worked out so perfectly, and if there is no plan B for when Kuga taken out, Chika and Osamu have to be good enough together to be able to score points on their own. That's what I was thinking.

Ohh, sorry, I wasn't debating that Hyuse shouldn't be used as a team member, I just don't think that it addresses the problem, that is that the team itself (assuming Hyuse actually gets and stays home) would actually become worse if they create a dependence on Hyuse's capabilities. Unless Osamu's lack of scoring ability is addressed (Chika's is sort of taken care of, the lead hound bullets) then there is still no plan B for when Kuga is taken down. Osamu and Chika have to be able to score points independently of Kuga being a scarecrow to divert the enemies' attention. Again, assuming that Osamu's plan fails and Kuga isn't able to make up the difference.

The problem is already being addressed. Osamu and Chika are training to become better. Obviously this takes time, so that's the main reason for Hyuse's recruitment.

I do not believe that adding Hyuse would make Osamu and Chika lose the motivation to become better.

And also, as demonstrated in this round, instead of trying to prepare for something after Yuma's defeat, they just made Yuma harder to defeat.

Can they run more than 3 people in a team battle?

I just don't understand adding him to the team.

One of them can switch with him as a replacement depending on the period/opponents, especially that he's really skilled so it might be useful for them I suppose

"he doesn't have OP mentor like All Might or Gojo"
well
his mentor is a beast he learns from the best
noone is legendry in this anime so he is the closest to what you can get
+ he learns from very strong teams

but yea i get your point

Finally getting Hyuse to join my team! I loved his confidence saying that he was going to be the Second Ace that Tamakoma 2 needs. (They really do) I loved how Osamu handled it as the Captain and went about it rationally (Because he's great) I can't wait to see the next episode, it can't be Saturday fast enough.

No, it’s possible to have 4 members + an operator. Next rank battle will show another team with that setup, but one we already know of that has a unit of 5 is Arashiyama Squad.

Both commentarors have good analysis on the team battles. Aside from Hyuse joining, I just hoipe that Osamu and Chika would level up their current skill sets and still acquire new ones both for changing tactical and strategic realities in the battlefield.

Finally the episode where they convince Hyuse to join Tamakoma-2, may or may not have already known because of spoilers, but still excited to see what happens next and how Hyuse mixes with the team.

This episode was kinda slow but it was good after 7 action pack episodes. Hyuse is joining the team which is good. Im hoping for him to use the samurai-like trigger when he joins the team.

as you said they need an immediate buff as osamu is concerned for yuma's unknown lifespan. so they need to reach A rank status asap

Ninomiya Squad better get ready because Tamakoma-2's back in action.
Osamu and Chika made some good progress but there's still room for improvement.

Katori being a sore loser is accurate. She seems like she'd be the type to rage quit in a game.
Hopefully she changes for the better. But that seems slim.

Hyuse becoming a member of Tamakoma-2 would be great for them.
The hill will be steeper than it was for Kuma though.
They'll probably have some high demands like giving up his Black Trigger for good.
Especially since he doesn't want to give up info on Aftokrater. Maybe he can give them other useful info?

Hana and Miura said it well. Wow, 4th place, I really want to see the A-rank wars!!

I dont know how safe it would be to get Hyuse on the ship since he said he's going to destroy it if they attack his master who will most likely defend Aftokrator so fighting him will be unavoidable.
Come on man, where is that Noragami season 3 masterpiece. We want it, Bones!

Had to rate this episode 3/5
-[good/valuable] recap
-[very relatable to me as person who was top-tier but got frustrated a quit (no where close to as bad as her)] BITCH DIDN'T APOLOGIZE!!!!!
-felt like a bit of nothing

I hope this was just a one episode thing, they handled well, and loved Karauchi's apology, but he's not the one I wanted to see give such a sincere apology!!!!
These Rank Wars are so good for the improvement of Border.
So Hyuse being border agent is easy, if not for higher-ups being aware. Tomakoma COULD have just kept him secret, but didn't they let HQ know about him. It's not surprising Engineer is neighbor as early into S1 made clear Tomakoma worked with neighbors, we just never saw it outside of Yuma.

As we can see, higher-ups are a lot more chill. Yuma and Jin have grown on them, and they already got intelligence from Enedordad that is technically being corroborated by Hyuse's nature. There is one important question: "At what is the breaking point that you would turn on us?" (is it if we attack your homeland? is it if we try to get our people back and that's it? is it if you are ordered to by your homeland? At what point would this trust shatter?)
