----------------------------------------
From hero to zero and back, is the best way I can sum the first round of competitions.

As if Maeshima's showing has soured the Ionodai team, even Sasugai's strategy failed to push the team forward.

Coach Adachi though, despite being a former pro figure-skater, seemingly like the Ionodai team, has given up due to his circumstances. But try as high as he can do, his brusque nature sure shuns everyone off.

Figuring out the schemer's place took a few loops for the team, but it's clear that he's already aiming for the top with all that research. Add that together with Maeshima's self-analysis of Coach Adachi's special move and tutelage, the goal to beat Shinozaki is one step closer.

I'd like to think that both Maeshima and Sasugai can be outliers to each other, but at times they can work well...that's if they cooperate with each other.

Sasugai is best character for me.
It was hilarious how the other characters think that he had kill himself.

I thought Sasugai just joked about coach having a boyfriend, but it doesn't look like a joke anymore. Now the question is, who's his boyfriend? The reporter or his skater's friend?

How everyone was worried for the most motivated characters in the show lol and how Maeshima and Sasugai were on the same page, sweet.

Also loved how Sasugai got to blushing this episode as he opened his heart to Maeshima. Cute.

Maeshima also not being worried about Sasugai made me smile, especially when he said he was probably scheming, he knows him so well.

Glad to see the direction the show is going and how everyone is aware they need to do big things. I am surprised they beat themselves up over their performance, of course hey wouldn't do well making a massive change at the 11th hour.

I feel like I wouldn't even enjoy this series that much without Sasugai in it, just because he acts like such a little fucker lmao.

A resolve from all the boys reach such a difficult ways. Sasugai not getting much love from his previous provocation, indeed. However, he couldn't let himself give up the whole process. He still had the same spirit. The boys expression toward his absent surely tickling me. Because its obvious that Sasugai just did his usual scheme. Sasugai and his little act truly bring more lights to this show. While, the coach looked so annoying this time with all of his tsundere-ish. That last confrontation lines against Sasugai obviously got the final resolution to the whole teams. Moreover, after seeing Maeshima sincerity to be better, and made a good use of his skating talent. In the end, the coach finally lend his hand to help all of them to reach their dreams. Better late than nothing. Its time to bring more challenge to the whole competition. Lets surprise all of them, Ionodai!

So sad.

This series has a very predictable plot though. But the common score is a 7.

Even though I still find this anime to be very mediocre, I don't think I'll drop it now.

SO we finally get to see a little more focus on the older coach. idk why he's such a hard ass though. I mean, he's "coaching" a group of teenagers. All he's done is taken a negative attitude towards them, instead of trying to be more positive and motivating them. Such a frustrating character.

The only way I see this team winning if if plot armor saves them, because right now they seem to be the worst team in the competition

Series was about to go full 2.43 for a moment there.

Also thank God the coach will start acting like the damn coach he is.
