THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
I felt like this episode was a bit rushed overall, especially the match. But as I said before, I understand it since the anime is only 23 episodes long. The special attack from the Kyoto twins didn't feel amazing either.

However, the whole shadow twin and light twin concept, and all its mystery was cool. Also, I enjoyed the fact that they ended up losing, because we can't always win. I'll be rooting for them on the Interhigh! Oh, and I can really relate to Fusejima's rant. I think many of us can identify ourselves with his words and this whole scene, although a bit random, was a good addition to the episode.

Holy crap, they lost! I didn't expect this. But I guess we should have because the coach was always nervous, it's the first time it happened. While some girls were feeling so sure during the interview.

About the "fatigue" thing, it must be noted that this problem wasn't posed in the previous matches. If they had enough stamina to resist, yet this time it wasn't enough for some reason. It could be because they played less matches, or because they continued to use the double spike, but it wasn't specified...

It's very "shonen-like" to keep your trump card at the very end, even if this girl doesn't play in ANY match of the tournament until the final, what the hell xD. Speaking of which, I'm wondering: if Mimi could receive the ball because she "heard the ball" (closing eyes she pulled out a wakabayashi genzo's kind of thing xD) then couldn't she have done the same for the shadow?
It was pretty rushed yes, but I still liked the twist, the mistery between the twins was interesting.

So now the tournament is over, but they are preparing for another tournament? The number of episodes left are not many so it's strange, but the fact that they lost it's a pleasant surprise. Though it wasn't for any particular reason, they just got fooled by the special moves. I feel pretty bad for the team, they did nothing wrong. Let's see what happens next

The student guy topic was very japanese typical: with their society so strict, they have to succeed in school and work, so there is no time left for leisures. Still, going to tell a girl during her tournament this thing was pretty random yes...

Another note: the "model" for the twins reminded me of another anime around that time. Are there maybe 3 twins? xD
