| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I really like Beat (her design, dresses, attitude, and contrast from her real-life persona). Something that was kind of interesting (and also not really related to idols at all) was how Beat said that in Aikatsu Planet, anyone could be who they want to be, including changing your appearance or gender. I'm definitely overthinking the premise here, but in a world like that (or with technology like that), it's weird the world is just a big venue for seeing idol shows and eating burgers or milk tea. Also, so anyone can enter Aikatsu Planet, and anyone can change their appearance, but are all of the idols represented by an agency? Or does there just happen to be an agency that the MCs all are working for? Probably also a random observation that doesn't matter, but a lot about the premise keeps being strange if I think about it too much. I don't care for the ED song (this week's insert song) very much... A birthday song seems way too specific to use in for general performances. |
| I think this episode was meh,. I mean, only because we met a new idol (this kind ok idol with rock type style I don't like it too much) and a little crisis of Mao. The competition was OK, it was obvious Beat will win because is the new character. |

Maybe i'm overthinking it more, but maybe it's like a game? I mean, Aikatsu itself IS a game, right? So maybe there's other games that do other things. Maybe there's a world like Aikatsu but with guns. |

| I would rather call this Pripara Planet than Aikatsu Planet lol. Everyone could just change into entirely different person or gender which is the core of Pripara. No more idol academy and specific objectives for the idol to fullfil, now it's just random battle stage between two idols with their Dressia. More cool looking equals to winning more without much effort put in by the idol themselves. This is not Aikatsu at all at least the one I love the most about Aikatsu just not there, what a shame. |
