im not a big fan of fate/kaleid but i wanna watch the movie so wondering if its a different story like the fate/stay night movies

It's a prequel story to the first season of Fate/Kaleid so you don't need to watch anything else to understand it. The only reason it's listed as a sequel to 3rei is because the story is being narrated by a character in the present. It's almost like a 4th route to fate/stay night.

You can watch it on its own, but with the context of the 4 seasons it means a lot more. It's still good on its own though, especially since it's a prequel.
