 The official website for the 2.43: Seiin Koukou Danshi Volley-bu (2.43: Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Club) TV anime released a new key visual (pictured) and second promotional video on Thursday, the latter revealing two additional cast members and the opening theme. 2.43: Seiin Koukou Danshi Volley-bu will air on Fuji TV's noitaminA programming block on Fridays beginning January 8 at 12:55 a.m.Kaito Ishikawa (Haikyuu!!) will play Subaru Mimura, and Kouhei Amasaki (Boku no Hero Academia 2nd Season) will play Mitsuomi Ochi. Both characters are members of the Fukuhou Technical High School volleyball club. yama, a solo artist and member of the group BIN, is performing the opening theme "Mahi." Yasuhiro Kimura (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 5: Ougon no Kaze) is directing the anime at David Production, and Yousuke Kuroda (Boku no Hero Academia) is credited with series composition. The main cast and staff were announced in June. 2.43: Seiin Koukou Danshi Volley-bu is adapted from Yukako Kabei's novel series, the first volume of which was published by Shueisha in July 2013. It was later released in two volumes under the Shueisha Bunko imprint in March and April of 2015. Shueisha published the next entry in the series, 2.43: Seiin Koukou Danshi Volley-bu Second Season, in June 2015. It was again re-released in two volumes under their Shueisha Bunko imprint in November and December of 2017, with the title changed to 2.43: Seiin Koukou Danshi Volley-bu: Daihyou Kettei Sen-hen.
