Class upgrading and stats

Quick question because I can’t find it again. When they hit level 10 and change classes, they LOSE stats equal to a % of their final stats of that class? Wouldn’t that make the, progressively weaker, physically? Our MC would be fucked because he’s ranking up like crazy and losing stats for little benefit (combat wise)

It's explained at the end of chapter 7. From what I understand, they gain half of the status from the original class at level 10. So basically:
Lvl10 wizard = 90%, which is a gain of 90% - 100% = -10%, divided by 2 = -5%, so the new warrior class with base stat of 200% will become 195%.

Lvl10 warrior with 210% has a gain of 210% - 100% = 110%, divided by 2 for 55%, so the new class will gain 55% on top of its base status.

So if someone got the different wizards all in a row, they would be insanely weak, right? They'd be -5% for the first one, -7.5% for the second one, and then -10.75% for the 3rd one. This would result in a whopping -23.25% when they get their next class, right? Assuming they get a rank 2 wizard class, they'd start out with 56.75% in each stat. That's kinda insane, right? Like you can really get screwed by that system.

Conversely, if you got warrior 3 times in a row, you'd get +55%, +82.5%, and then +123.75% for an insane +261.5% base stat. I think you'd finish the class at 471.5%, which is just insane considering wizards would be down to almost 50% at this point.

Am I understanding this right?
