Been a long time since I've seen Saekano and I have to say, this movie was a nice return and end to the franchise, a franchise that I expected to dislike at first but think is fairly respectable at the end. It had its fun moments, charming moments, I liked Katou a LOT more than I originally did and the interactions she had with Aki were really damn nice in this movie - from the light hearted moments, to the emotional conflicts all the way till the very end. In the end while Megumi may have not started out as the ideal heroine for me, she sure ended up being the true heroine of not only the story, but the true heroine for Aki Tomoya too. Was happy seeing them together (even if I prefer Utaha likability wise), and their romance moments were heartwarming too. The actual story feels a bit milquetoast due to the fact that the material had to be summarized a bit to fit in a movie, but it didn't affect my enjoyment too much of it due to the interactions still hitting really nicely. The epilogue was a nice touch too. I wish the rest of the supporting cast but at least the heart and soul of the movie was really good. I enjoyed this a solid amount. |

The only reason this wasn’t 3/10 was the fact that it had some decent payoff regarding Megumi. All the other girls just....don’t really feel like they’re even there. Calling the majority of the movie milktoast is an understatement cause it still somehow felt real slow sans some nice empathic tempos when needed. I’m not saying I wanted any of the girls to win in particular, cause I know who was gonna win anyways. The fact that this movie length feature had to adapt 5-6 whole ass volumes. Holy fucking yikes. No wonder why the emotions rung hollow. Oh yea, post credits scenes are okay. |

I know. I hate what Tomoya did on October 23. I know. I hate how he treated his band. I know. I hate how he left Megumi crying. I know this movie is not perfect, but the last 36 minutes is basically the best thing I've ever seen in my life and that's why I can't give this movie a lower grade than the highest possible. I've been waiting for this moment three years since I finished Season 2, and many series since I started watching anime have let me down, leaving me either down or frustrated... and damn I'm glad Saekano doesn't belong to this group. One of the best if not the best ending (and certainly the most beloved) I've ever seen in my life. The mind says 8/10 but the heart says Megumi/10 I do not know if I will be able to see such a well-written heroine. For me in the world of 2D she's mine main heroine. Tomoya you're such a lucky guy xD |

well, nothing surprising even without the spoiler, the author literally did 1 crazy move afterall that sealed megumi by "killing the flag of the other heroine",im surprised not many romance/harem do this. this movie is truly what "vanilla" is,though still not the same satisfaction lvl as amagami ss but still the same intention, utaha still the best girl, but nothing we can say about that when her role is the "tragic heroine" and eriri can go F herself, she deserved it,not like utaha who truly love and make effort for tomoya, eriri is literally "trash tsundere" doing trash tsundere and being trash person to begin with, ignoring tomoya at school, treat him like sh*t so she can maintain being "the normie popular girl" it ridiculous how sh*t a heroine can be. in the end,its not really special, but that "killing the flag" move by the author is actually work, many ppl including me fine with megumi win in the end, that mean its a success move, but i can understand ppl who are not into pure "vanilla" will be turned off.end score 8/10. |

Megumi has always been my favorite of the girls and it was great to get her deadpan cuteness back. The story made sense as a final conflict as well and Eriri got a nice resolution to her arc. I was expecting a similar heart to heart scene between Tomoya and Utaha but she really didn't get much other than talking to Eriri about their shared feelings for Tomoya and continuing to run forward. It's been years since I watched the TV show so maybe I'm not remembering some earlier development with Utaha that helped her get over him, but that is one weakness of the film IMO. Didn't realize until I looked online that the epilogue was anime original. So glad they added that in. A great fakeout at the start and tons of character interactions. After the final "kanpai" it sounded like there was a recording of the actual voice actors laughing at an afterparty. Never seen that before and it fits with how meta Saekano is. Glad we got to see a full adaptation of the story! |

well idk why but i feel like kinda betrayed i wanted both utaha senpai and eriri to apologise properly to rinri kun cuz they betrayed him like fuck even if its their oncelife chance i cant get over ... tomoya was the one who made them famous i know they are already famous but i mean their ability or prosfession on game that made the red haired lady wants to get them |

Love, love, absolutely love it. We all know who going to win Tomoya's heart in the end. So it was no surprise for her to win. I rewatched season 1 & 2 before I watch this movie and it was worth it. There are many seasons 1 and 2 easter eggs in this movie. You will realise it when Tomoya talks about the routes in his game. I also loved that the 2 girls were accepted their defeat and trying their best to support Tomoya with his love. I was really surprised by the "ending" in the end and I thought it was real. Overall, it really a good movie and ending for their story. |

I just thought that Oregairu got the best rom com ending, then I just watched this Saekano movie, and it made it clear that THIS IS THE BEST ROMCOM ENDING EVER! Watching it ends was really satisfying! Like really really really satisfying I always liked all the character in this anime, but Megumi was always my most favorite, so watching they end up together, Megumi n Tomoya is, really makes me happy... Clear feelings of the characters at the end always felt better than left it hanging |

I was honestly really worried how they were gonna end the series with just a movie, when they had a lot of material left to cover, but I think they did quite well! The original epilogue was a nice touch. If anyone can figure out the 2 insert songs at the confession scene and the scene where Utaha is telling Eri they have to wait, please let me know! |

Love this movie... #TeamMegumi wins the end... Yeah... I just love everythig from.this movie--- their friendship, bonding moment, their CIRCLE'S... Amidst Eriri and Uraha decided to seperate from tomoya's circle to pursue their dreams, their FRIENDSHIP IS STILL AS STRONG AS IT IS... that even Megumi became jealous of it (my fave part)... And to Eriri---> sorry Childhood friend aint win in the anime.. I recommend to watch this one if you have watched s1 and s2 of said series |

I don't know how many stuffs get skipped over but I am very satisfied with this movie for the whole duration. I had to rewatch few scenes from s1 and s2 but I think I've gotten most of the things that the author wanted to convey in this movie. They are a very lovely couple and the first half of movie was so sickeningly sweet, with the confession scene as the climax; I will never forget Megumi's declaration infront of everyone. |

Yes, this is so good! Easily my favourite Saekano content and how truly fitting for it to be the finale. I don't care how rushed this is or what got skipped over, the folks over at CloverWorks have my full respect. I'll be honest, I was a little perplexed when this Movie instead of a Season 3 was announced. But now, my only response is - good thing how things turned out, lol. Let's start with the Epilogue because boy did it get me good. I raised my eyebrows when Kato mentioned "that special someone" but got to give it to Utaha-senpai. Come to think of it, this is like the first ever we experienced her work. No wonder why she's so successful in the Saekano world xD. Lol, that singing out of the blue though. And then the real time events were nothing short of fantastic too. Kato correctly guessing Tomoya's horror and a couple of smooches towards the end, this is quality material that I was waiting for. It's such a pleasure watching the characters doing their own things beyond graduation and into adult life. Blessing (aka Megumi) Software lol, great to see. Guess Michiru stayed with music after all, nothing else really fits my image of her in the first place so I'm glad lol. Such a heartwarming closure. I love this sort of thing. At the very end, those were the Staff and Cast celebrating, wasn't it? 10/10 material right there. As for the Movie itself, it was a solid 8/10 from me. Utaha-senpai and Eriri scenes were abundant and it surprised me in a good way how much screentime they managed to get! Cried there while they left as well, it was really heartrending. And then a handful more of the Hashima siblings and Michiru as well. Hashima and Tomoya in that cafe with the BL fans behind is amazing xD, I'm so glad they kept this for the Movie too. And Michiru, more scenes than the entire 2nd Season plus nearly as much as the finale of 1st season. Seriously, tell me now. What didn't this Movie include? lmao Turns out Akane-san wasn't as bad as I imagined either. It's nice to see that she's in good spirits despite the accident though. NGL, that whole scene certainly felt abrupt though. But for all the Megumi development it managed to catapult, all is forgiven lol. Megumi saying Tomoya is hers was a sight to behold. Hashima siblings, naughty. Megumi and Eriri having that bath scene was really nice to watch as well. Nice insert songs to keep us company too, as well. Especially that final song to accompany us on the Winter Comiket. Best moment? Easily the confession scene! Kayano Ai-san and Oonishi Saori-san giving us the push was perfection too. Lol, Tomoya messing up the timing there. But, no worries, leave it to Megumi to set that right. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) All in all, this is just the perfect close to what has indeed been a very entertaining ride. Animation Quality was consistent and that was more than enough for me. Quite the classy start to the Movie as well, I must say. Thanks to all the Staff and Cast for their hard work over the years! I know this deserves a 8 but my heart screams 9. So, if you know me, I'll go with a 8.5/10 lol. As such, this gets a generous 9/10 from me. Will most definitely rewatch this Movie in the near future. I'm a total sucker for closures like these... Oregairu, Shokugeki no Souma and now this. My tears have run dry ;-; lol. |

I can't help but feel this is about a half hour longer than it should be. All that ultimately unnecessary hospital drama served no purpose but to artificially delay the ending and introduce a bunch of cringe-worthy angst. The 'review' part of the post-credits segment pretty much nails just how lackluster the end result is. |

Not seeing how that's an improvement. "More" doesn't necessarily equal 'better'. In many cases it results in quite the opposite. |

Remember his confession to Megumi? He says she's the only one he can be comfortable with and stay as natural as possible, without admiring or obsessing her more than necessary. Eriri and Utaha could not give that to Tomoya because they chose to get better as artist so that Tomoya can admire them more, but what Tomoya needed wasn't that, he just wanted someone who can stand as an equal with him. It was their misunderstanding of Tomoya's personality. What Utaha pointed that by calling his help they wouldn't be able to get Tomoya back was because she understood that they were already too late to get into relationship with him as pointed in the movie where she eavesdropped Tomoya phonecalling Megumi at hospital..that they are already intimate enough to call each others name and that he wanted to celebrate her birthday with just the two of them. She knew that their failure with Fields Chronicle would be their last chance to stand as an equal to Tomoya. Even worse, both Eriri and Utaha realized that what he wrote in his laptop during his stay there wasn't actually his game's scenario/story.. but his real feelings towards Megumi. So yeah, during s2 ending and Glistening flat insert by Megumi, he is already locked into Megumi's route. The movie pointed this too when Megumi said 'The main heroine shouldn't hug him, let him cry as much as he wants' during their skype conversation. edit : TL;DR they wanted to get better as an artist because of him.. to the point of leaving his side. But it backfired them instead |

Her asking Tomoya to choose between Meguri & Riri routes was an indirect confession. At the end of the episode, she asks Megumi to play out the Ruri route, which was essentially her recognizing the fact that Megumi is what Tomoya was looking for ultimately. As for Tomoya's love for Utaha, it was heavily implied he loves her more as a celebrity than an actual romantic interest. Kinda sucks for Utaha because she never really got a chance. |
