Hey everyone, thanks for being part of this club. Here we can discuss some of the books that we enjoy in real life! I'll start us off.

First, I'm a big fantasy lover. Brandon Sanderson is my favorite author, with my favorite series of his being the Stormlight Archive and favorite individual work The Emperor's Soul. I love the technical detail of his magic systems, which lets great plot twists happen without feeling contrived. The Stormlight Archive is an epic in every sense of the word, as well as being a masterwork of world building. I'm very exciting for the upcoming release of the fourth book, Rhythm of War. The Emperor's Soul is just a short work, technically a novella, but it is still a great read. I'd describe it as literary fantasy, so if that piques your interest definitely give it a shot (at the very least, you'll only have sacrificed a few hours if you dislike it.)

Watching anime has inspired me to read some Japanese literature as well (translated, as I only speak/read English.) No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai is definitely worth reading, as is Kokoro by Natsume Soseki. If you want something more modern, give Haruki Murakami a shot, but be prepared for some surreal storytelling.

That's enough about my favorite books for now. Feel free to chime in about what you like!

P.S. You should all get the notification about this topic since it is the club's first, but I won't do that in the future unless most of you mention you'd like the notifications in your responses.
Every day you can read a book or watch some anime is a good day!

I'm actually new to reading. I think bookworm helped me see the appeal of it. I mostly listen to audiobooks. So I have been reading the classics that most people know, like Julius Caesar and the Iliad, which I liked. So if I had to choose it be the Iliad and The Odyssey, I put your book on my Wishlist they look good :). I have been reading light novel as well; this is my Goodread do you guys have one?

I don't happen to use Goodreads myself, but I'm always happy to recommend books. It sounds like you are looking for literature classics to read/listen to on audio. For English classics, I would recommend Brave New World or My Antonia. A great French classic is The Stranger. As for Japanese classics, No Longer Human, Kokoro, and Snow Country are all great. Let me know if that is what you were looking for or if there are other recommendations you would like!

I've always been a bit of a bookworm, I read a lot of YA fantasy/drama novels as a teen and I'm always looking for something new to read. Recently I actually have been getting into Brandon Sanderson based on gaussian's suggestions and its been a delight. I've also been reading a lot of C.S Lewis's non-Narnia books on his religious views and they've been good to get into.

Right now besides light novels like Bookworm and various webcomics, I've also been reading The Thief of the Queen's Thief series and having a lot of fun with it.
