THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Welp, the non-EVOLs are in a comatose dreamy state...and it's up to Zen/Victor to figure things out while Kiro and Haku/Gavin are out of commission (with Simon/Lucien dealing with his aftermath) due to Black Swan's interference. Time for the Queen to act her schtick and take control while she still can.

But as Black Swan has adequately planned for EVOLs and the compatibility of evolution, unless Zen and the main female lead can weave their way out of this mess, there's no progress to be made.

Again, like last episode, Zen has all the time to the Queen, but in the same characteristics of a date, in fairness of seriousness. And she has finally unleashed her precognition EVOL, and that will be the ultimate power to defeat Black Swan once and for all.

The final battle awaits...and what will be Simon/Lucien's response?

The story in the anime is extremely different than the one in the game. In the game, it's more dark and angsty and I bet a ton of anime-only viewers are super confused with the introduction of Helios (silver-haired Kiro). If you guys enjoyed the anime to some slightest degree, go play the game (1000x better) and besides, the story is far from done as well (it's still ongoing). Like the future (10 years later) Victor sees in the game is EXTREMELY different than the one he saw in the anime

The anime is adapting bits and pieces of this arc in like 2 episodes lmao

This is subjective, but the heroine seems to have the most chemistry with Kiro.

-CEO often rejects her ideas, and proposals / makes her redo her assignments until he is satisfied.
-Simon is more of her work partner.
-Gavin - a senpai the heroine was scared of since she got a confession letter dripped with blood from him

Maybe the game is different. But for a reverse harem, it has a lot of mystery elements about the evolvers and sleeping syndrome.

The game is a lot different. The story in the anime is EXTREMELY rushed, which makes for less time for her relationship with each guy to be developed. They cut out a lot of stuff too, a lot of stuff that was important to developing her relationships and the story too.
For example, there's a chapter that they cut that would've come earlier in the story--it's where Lucien and the MC go to visit an orphanage, as the MC has gotten permission to do a story on it, and Lucien has come to help her. It's meant to not only deepen their relationship, but also to develop the story too. (They have to go back there later because the MC's company was coming under fire for confidential/personal info about the orphanage mysteriously getting leaked, she and Lucien go back there, and then after investigating, you get the "it looks like Gavin is gonna shoot her" scene (it wasn't just randomly on the rooftop, lol.))
And that's just one instance. There were even some really small, but important scenes that were cut as well (f.e. there's a scene in the first couple of chapters of the game where you see Kiro sending an email to someone, asking if he should be concerned that his Evol seemed to be changing)

And I haven't watched this episode yet, so I don't know how far they adapted in this episode, but from what I've seen, they're essentially cutting out most of chapters 15-18. This episode (and from what it looks like in the next episode), they're putting chapter 18 together with misc. stuff from different chapters spread in between. For example, the scene with Gavin undergoing experiments comes from the END of chapter 15, and the reason why he undergoes them is for a very different reason than what's shown here. (In the anime, he's shown to have been tracked down by the STF, while in the game the MC and Gavin discover something big about the STF (I forget what), and they have to flee in a car chase that ends with her getting shot, and Gavin agreeing to undergo the experiments to protect her.) Also, the silver haired character you meet here is not supposed to appear until chapter 17.

You are correct about the story in general having a lot of mystery and stuff. I'd personally recommend that for anime only people, after the anime finishes, you should play the game! It's a lot better and a lot more detailed and emotional (Not that the anime isn't emotional, but that the game surpasses it.)

Like, this is the type of angst you're in for:

"Smiles and laughter are always good, but never forget your poker face."
-Kaito Kuroba (aka Kaitou Kid)

"A thief is a creative artist who takes his prey in style. But a detective is nothing more than a critic who follows our footsteps."
-Kaito Kuroba (aka Kaitou Kid)

I knew that with only 12 episodes and them planning to do the storyline upto chapter 18 I knew it was going to be rushed but as someone who has played the game the way they're going about adapting and changing the storyline it makes me a little dissapointed honestly. If they were going to do all 18 chapters they should have made it 24 episode for the season given us a less rushed storyline and bulked the show out with more of the date content from the game to build the charecter development further between the mc and the main 4. This would have made this anime 100x better. Honestly for anyone who's just watched the anime go play the game because the charecter development is far superior than the anime.

I'm so confused right now. The anime is missing so many parts, to the point that the ep with Lucien's betrayal didn't even feel like one because MC hasn't been able to make any deep connections with him (or any of the guys). So basically, they're going to pin everything on Hades and Black Swan instead of
because of a lack of episodes? I understand that they want to end this anime off with a proper conclusion, but too much of the original story is being excluded and changed T-T

PS. Even though Shaw is bae, gotta say I really love how badass Helios is

Ah, now its a sleeping syndrome, eh? Idk what happened anymore. Why everything went into that thing, its still mystery to me. The introduction over that syndrome kinda miss its good transition from the previous episode. Its like they jumped up from one scenes to the other without a proper transitions to explained what was goin on. Even Gavin's struggle against his pursuer just feel strange to me. How? Was that police a non-evolver? Okay. Its enough. I don't even care if he was save by his father. Because why not? At least he just needed to upgrading his ability. Okay next.

Zen suddenly had a plan to infiltrated, its okay. The girl feel uneasy while looking to the experiments just a bit unnecessary. Why you look over it, dammit! So, the cool thing over this episode was Zen upgraded ability to stopped Evolver ability, but not with Hades. I wonder why? I am kinda dissapointed with his flashback while in the 10 years future. Was that really like that? Because i don't see any meaning and how he could escape from it.

So, after having a second meeting with Hades, finally the girl launched his ability too. Its good. Because if not, they were all died on it. So, for the sake of continuations, its expected. Okay, next, a letter? From a betrayer? Showed a location of Hades? Yes, finally, the show reach its end. Because no matter how hard i wanted to enjoy, i just feel some blank space always attend my mind while watching this. I just hope its had a solid end, a happy ending can be a nice cure for me. So, yeah, lets see their last episode.

I answered some of your confusions and questions (I tried to condense it as much as possible). It might spoil some bits in episode 12 but tbh anime is hot garbage (compared to the game) and just confuses anime-onlys so I don't think it's a big deal if anime-onlys read it lol

So Zen lied to the MC girl about the future since he didn't want her to worry. I wonder why she disappeared in the future? Maybe it's because she sacrifices herself? Also Kira/Kiro changed his hair color or is that his evolved form since Zen mentioned that Evolvers can evolve or is it another character?

The whole thing about "get a power or die" reminded me of the Stand arrow :P

Silver haired Kiro looks badass as hell!

I don't know what to think anymore, because it's quite confusing. I'm just waiting to get to this arc in the game because it's so much better.
She being erased from the future really intrigues me!

The Kiro thing is kinda complicated...the silver haired guy is him...but long story short...(only read this if you want major spoilers)

Kiro after makeover looks similar to Gavin's friend that is working with MC. I prefer his original look.

Um... maybe translation was a bit off but I got confused about that sleep thing - is it gas or waves again? If it affects non-evolvers only does it mean that 90%+ of population has some unawakened evol?

The anime makes me a bit upset because a lot of people are clowning on Mr. Love just based off some anime scenes... If only those people realized that the story in the anime isn't even 1/10 as good as the one in the game. We got the Tokyo Ghoul anime treatment F F F F F (rushed as hell). On the bright side, I'm glad it brought in many new fans.

So black swan is trying to evolve the human evolutions to have powers by using a gas to put everyone to sleep which stimulates evolution. Hmm, interesting, next week is the last ep so let's see what will happen.
