They only made one game in the mainline series: the cellphone game, MMORPG, and the expansion do not count. I rather have Capcom put resources in a new entry to the series then making a Switch port. (No offense to the Switch users.) Also, add a character skin that doesn't even fit into the game. The Berserk armor skin was perfect but the Travis skin was not. He doesn't fit into the game's setting. He was only there to promote the new Travis Strikes Back game Because Popularity and sales are the names of the game. If you are making a guest armor skin make it at least check if it does fit into the game's story and theme and not based on popularity. I'm sorry but that anime has rubbed me the wrong way if that anime is there to just to promote the game to drum up interest not to expand the story. They can't even add that theme song because of copyright issues and it is so stupid to be able to use it once the license is over. Also, they need to fix the communication between the international branches. I do want to see at least a confirmation of Capcom making a new real entry after the release of the Netflix anime series.

Probably we'll get a sequel... But the announcement could be made either on September or at the end of the year. Capcom just can't tease us with this anime and not confirm at least Dragon's Dogma 2 is in development.

There was supposedly a leak about Capcom developing their most ambitious game yet, under the code name "Project Bella", which was Dragon's Dogma 2. Who knows. If the anime takes us one step closer to the sequel, I'll take it.

Premieres September 17th

New trailer is out

As for the game's future? I hope they make a sequel. The pawn system is rather unique and something I want to see more in modern RPG games.

This is from the Netflix Japan Youtube channel and yet it features English speaking voice actors. So presumably despite being made by Sublimation and a Japanese staff there will be no version with Japanese VAs (??), which would be a quite rare occurrence, and that's an understatement. If English is the original dialogue I don't mind watching it in English at all. One other possibility is that the Japanese seiyu version will be released later in Japan due to Covid-19 locking them down for a few months. Which would, er, technically render the English VA version the original one just due to scheduling..
