| Nihon TV News reported that a 25 year old jobless man was arrested for threatening seiyuu Kadowaki Mai. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, he sent her office a letter "I'll kill your parents within a month." last November. The man has confessed to the crime and said he was a fan of Kadowaki. According to Mainichi Online, he sent the threatening letter because he believed an anonymous post in a BBS saying Kadowaki is committing adultery.
