| Honestly I like this better than most of the GBF series exception being the first series that was just near perfect for the concept, Try suffered from overcrowding the rivalry between try fighters and gunpla academy wasn’t as good as yuuki who received great character development and Sei and Reiji. Divers also suffered overcrowding but it jumped around too much and the whole 15 vs 5000 strains credulity too much it would be one thing if it was15 vs 5000 mob npcs but they were players yet they got shot down whole sale with single shots but the main characters took a barrage of 100+ but come up beaten up. This one goes a better route of a smaller cast and maintaining the world building of divers, though I’m a little sad they played the Isekai card, the characters are more human and have their issues. Compare to divers who barely gave character development to some characters like the penguin girl who was a main cast Yukki who was Rikus partner, got 1 episode of character development shared with another side character. We have solid development with these characters and even at this point they still aren’t a team, even in the 12th episode battle. so the level of planning for character development should be on a different level than divers. As for the tournament one Try I gave up after that beach episode I would have love to see a Sei vs Sekai match up though. |
| i normally enjoy these gunpla series but this one was just so incredibly bad that i havent got a single moment of enjoyment from this one. i would have prefered it if they spent all this effort on continuing the original series rather than making more and more spin offs that have decreased in quality. the worst part is that out of all of the gunpla shows this one, the most boring of them all, has managed a second season. |

| And then there's me, enjoying the entire Gundam Build franchise, feeling hyped for this second season, and legitimately hoping the Gundam Build franchise never ends. I can understand the feeling of wishing an animation studio would make something you want as opposed to something you don't want, but this is the type of thing where you win some and you lose some. We're all going to experience wishing something we wanted would get adapted/given a second season instead of something we don't want. Personally, I'll take this win since most of what I want won't ever get that second season (or even a first). |

| It's way better than the original divers. The animation feels slightly worse but the characters don't make me wanna kill myself when they're on screen. It still features that stupid ass MMO with the stupid ass beast people but they've improved it. |

| While it indeed is better than first Divers serie, that doesn't mean it is good. But I agree its strong point are characters, since it seems this time they really want to focus on fleshing them out and make them more than a bunch of kids like in the first Divers. Again, that doesn't make the serie any "good" as a whole. it's mediocre at best. Also, don't get why Try has too much hate. I don't think it was THAT bad. |
| I wouldn’t put this at mediocre I wouldn’t put it at god tier but a solid 7-8 out of 10 sounds about right. The thing this series lacked that almost all the series after the first build fighters is the level of passion. When I watched the first series there was an unknown feeling of love and passion for gunpla from the characters and even the series itself it made me want to buy a gunpla and make one feeling not in an annoying commercial sales way but rather because they made it look fun, the series after that not so much this one included. To quote one of the characters there wasn’t any love. Taking that away and looking at the level of character development and how they have evolved as the series progressed and the structure of the plot plus reveals of plot bombs it follows a solid structure that holds a level of believability that Try and the first divers failed at. Try had the weird Phoenix thingy plus in the OVA it was worse and divers did the weird Deus ex machina for a lot and the 15 vs 5000. Still there is no passion like the 1st series but it succeeds at world building establishing another worlds culture, and setting up flawed characters who develop and grow as the series progresses that is rare in single to two cour shonen animes, usually we keep getting op characters that don’t grow or over cliches. If there is character development it happens in one episode and they seem to have a major character shift, this speed of development is closer to FMA but not as profound but more pronounced and less nuanced making this less than FMA in plot quality and characters also FMA’s plot on a whole other tier but this is close comparison I could find as there aren’t that many gradual character development animes. |
