| Adlai rose up through the water and splashed at the fishies and the frogs here in the earth world before soaring up through the clouds for the annual meeting of the Gods to see how things went for the humans. She took her seat beside the God of death because that is what she had always done, or at least that's what she believed she was supposed to do. She had an important role in this meeting because she was a main goddess. The seating chart went 1. The earth god; Because he watched over all of the earth. 2. The Sun god; Because he provided light 3. The Goddess of Living things; Because she provided guidance for all of the Humans and animals. 4. The God of death; Because he got all of the dirty work. 5. Me, The Goddess of water; Because without me there would be no life. 6. The Goddess of Agriculture; Because she provided Nutrients. 7. The Moon Goddess; Because she watches over all as we sleep. That's all she remembered off the top of her head. Anyways the meeting was about to begin. |

| (kay) Nathan walks into the room and leans in his usual corner near the back of the room, quietly observing the events of the meeting. |

| Adlai glanced at him with a look of disgust as if she already knew what he was all about. She returned her attention to the meeting in time to hear Kinnison finish what he was saying. "And as a result of their actions we must take measures into our own hands." What were they talking about? What had she missed? She had apparently zoned out again because now The God of Death was arguing with his sister. "They mustn't continue on! I won't allow it!" He said "It's not like----" Again Adlai stopped listening, she didn't want to hear it for it didn't involve her...She was to busy listening to the song of the rain pattering against the rooftop. |

| Sol: *has his head in his hand trying to block the noise from his hearing, headache pounding, but also appear composed* |

| Why can't these stupid gods just agree on something for one? The thought swirled through Nathan's head as he watched the meeting, ready to defend himself if one of the gods decided they would be better off without his presence. |

| Kinnison snaps his fingers and Adlai slowly focuses "Adlai... Adlai!.... Adlai!!!!!! ...............ADLAI!!!!!!! Can you hear me?!?!?!" Adlai looks at him. "Yes, sorry. I was drowning in the sound of the rain." He rolls his eyes. "We need you to work extra hard this year. Sol isn't looking to well and we fear a change in the weather patterns. So we will need it to rain a little more in these coming weeks. Do you think you and Mei could quit with your mischief for once and do this?" "I will try my best to help you." Looks at Sol worried. |

| "I can help you with that," informed Nathan, breaking his silence for the first time ever since he came to watch the meetings. "My elements are fire and air so I could evaporate some water from a few lakes and manipulate the air to direct the evaporated water into the clouds then direct them toi where you want it to rain," he finished. |

| The God's stared at him in silence. Finally a god spoke. "And who might you be?" Annalee asked with kindness in her voice. "I don't believe we have met." She stood up and raised out her hand to shake. Then Kinnison spoke. "How did you get in here? Are you a god? Well you must be for you to be able to get up here?, Tell me sir, Are you new to these lands??" |

| *looks to the newcomer* that is what shiro is supposed to do, though *shifts eyes around, not seeing shiro anywhere at the meeting* he's not here at the moment. *and covers my eyes again* |

| Nathan shakes Analee's hand and smiles at her, replying to her question in a cheerful voice. "My name is Nathan." After he finished shaking her hand he looked over at Kinnison, replying to his question with an answer that shocked all the gods. "I am new to these lands that is true. But I am no god, I got up here... using these," and with that said a pair of large blood red wings burst forth from his back. The wings resembled those of a bats and were scrunched up against his back so as not to get in his way. "I flew up here, and as for what I am, members of my species are known as half-demons. I am neither Human nor demon, not of this world or the demon's world, I... am the Blazing Devil," At the end of his speech the fourteen year old boy bowed to the gods, and as he straightened he put away his wings, once again resuming the shape of a regular human boy. |

| The god's looked at each other concerned. "This meeting is adjourned" Kinnison said and hurried everybody outside, and shut him and Nathan inside the meeting room. "Now Nathan, you know what happens when a human of any sort gets into the Chapter of the God's now don't you??" Kinnison looked at the boy with both love and concern in his eyes. ---------------------------- Adlai looked up and saw that it wasn't raining any longer and sighed, then returned to Mei. She saw that Mei had left her cup of water sitting out as usual and slunk into it shifting back into her water form and fell right asleep. |

| "I thought I told you already..." said Nathan and then he suddenly disappeared. He then reappeared behind the god so fast you could see his image still where he had been when he reappeared behind Kinnison. "I'm not Human." Claws burst forth from the boys fingertips as he swung them toward the god in front of him. Kinnison tried to spin around to face the boy, and was met by the sight of the young half-demon's claws stopped less than an inch from his head. "You'd do well to remember that." And with that the young boy who had just held the life of a god in his hands mere moments ago walked out of the room and flew off into the night sky, leaving a group of a confused gods to stare at him as he disappeared into the darkness. |

| All the Gods fly into the room and contain the boy, and Kinnison's wounds disappear. Xe' Nos speaks "What to do with you boy?!?!" He threw him against a wall. Kinnison: "Why do you think I said partly? You need to learn who your talking to, and when your talking to them. All these people already distrust you, why must you make it harder? I am already fully aware that you spoke with Miss Mei today, and you should stay away from her. Things like you have no business speaking to purebreds like you. You would do well to learn that. Understand me boy? From now on you will stay under my supervision to learn to control your anger, after that I ban you from these lands." |

| not really sure, I wasn't paying much attention... but the deamon, who addressed himself as blaze spoke about creating rain, the gods asked who he was and the boy got on the defensive... |

| Adlai woke up laying in a stream. 'How did I get here?' She wondered then thought nothing more about it and sat up. |

| *walks in* So have you made a decision on what to do with me yet? I assume that you all discussed it while I was gone. |

| Kinnison looks up and with a flick of his wrist, he shuts the door behind him and stands up. "Why yes we have. Since you claim to be powerful, we would 'like' to help you control you anger and eventually have you part of our team. How does that sound?" |

| "If you thought I was actually angry then your stupider than I thought. That was actually a test to see how smart you where. But seeing as how you didn't try and kill me as soon as I came in I'll say you still passed the test so I'll agree to join up with you." Nathan said this all in a matter of fact tone, neither insulting or praising, just stating the facts. |

| "I'm not sure I like you" He smiled. "But I guess I can't like everybody." "Now lets get down to business. You are to start as the lowest ranking god, No..Even lower than low, you will start out as, The God of Storms assistant. He is very temperamental and takes no crap. After you assist him to his liking, you will then be Adlai's assistant. You will have to be everyone who is related to storms in any way to become a god, ending with me." He said. "Now please leave. I have much work to get done." |

| "I have an objection." Said Nathan then continued rapidly before Kinnison could interrupt. "I said that I would be willing to help you make it rain and I still am, but that's not where my specialties lie. If I am to become a god it should be god of what I'm best at. I can tell you this, making rain is the least of what I can do and is far from my specialty." Nathan concluded his statement and looked at the gods to see what their response would be. All he could do was wait and hope that they would listen to his words. |
