These last two episodes have been fantastic. Hana is able to pick herself up with some help from her friends and family. The villains use the guy they demoted as an Oshimaida, which is low key dark AF. Believing in yourself and the future is something I think about a lot, and I’m glad to see HuGtto Precure tackling it. Kids need to see this. I absolutely relate to Hana. Can’t wait to see how everyone grows by the end of the series.

I'm glad this season's gonna have some dark/heavy stuff in it (well... dark for precure). This was really impressive.

This season has been really surprising me so far!

The "darker" elements are really well thought out and realistic for a mahou shoujo anime.

It's also great to see side characters having more appearances instead of just showing up once and thats it. Next episode seems a lot more fun and laid back, but with something this deep already showing up in the anime I can expect a lot more to come!

Charaleet is lucky this is Hugtto Precure, and not Precure 5. If this is Precure 5 era, I'm sure Hana would have cut him down with that sword. Anyway, they have a group special move at last.

Looking forward to next week's episode. :)

hmm what could the mature mysterious ikemen be reading from??? what is that book?
could it be that he is referring to events from past, the world where Hugtan fled from?
did they have a precure like Hana?

I look forward to Hugtto every week... seriously, not a single episode has failed to grab my attention and love. This episode really hit me on a personal level, as I definitely have felt like Hana does way too often. It was so inspiring and a message that I'm really happy Precure decided to put out into the world.

The Melody Sword is so cool, and I love how Hana hesitated killing Charaleet.

Can't wait for next week's episode!

Great episode. The sword appearing for Hana legitimately caught me by surprise. To see her wield it and jump into action had my mind was racing like 'Holy shit! We're actually doing this! This is a kid's show!' lmao. Having her hesitate and come to the realization that she doesn't need to strike people down on a whim despite the clear opportunity to do so is amazing. Hana just had her Skywalker moment, she's a true Jedi, tehe.

Holy shit, episode 4 was amazing but this one was even better, seeing Hana recovering her will to move forward and later on saving Charalit in Oshimaida form was too good, I teared up when she hugged him.

If I have to be honest, I saw her getting a sword and I was like "damn, that's so cool!" But I felt bad right after when she went for the strike and saw Charalit completely terrified, that's not the type of Precure she wants to be.

Wow. This episode was great. I really liked how the series took the "normalness" of the main character and turned it into a legitimate character development scenario. It made her triumph feel very satisfying.

I was genuinely startled when Cure Yell nearly cleaved Charleet in two. The cool factor was on par with Heartcatch stuff, but that would've been super edgy for a Precure if she had went through with it, so I'm still satisfied with how that went.

The man with the strange book is making the setting seem a lot more interesting, almost like a straight urban fantasy. I hope we keep seeing more of him.

Also, does Hana's mom remind anyone else of an adult Tsubomi? I'm bordering on headcanoning it the resemblance fits so well.

That was an amazing episode, I liked how Saaya an Homare encouraged Hana and made her realize she's special, too!

And man, that fight. Hana stopping from slicing open Charaleet's brain and saying that's not the Precure she wants to be. I really liked that.

I think this is the strongest point of Hugtto so far, which some might disagree with considering episode 4.

Hana's overcoming her failures from the previous episode, her depressive state and realizing what kind of Precure she wants to be was just perfect. Charaleet's suffering and salvation.

Holy hell this is one of the best episodes in the entire franchise if you ask me. For the first time in like seasons I was genuinely excited with what I was watching and now I seriously hope this doesn't drop the ball later on cause now I see this having the potential to be in the upper ranking of the precure I genuinely consider great.

i totally agree that this is the strongest episode so far. the fact that all of the recent episodes have led up into this theme of everybody being able to offer something is wonderful both because 1) it's a fantastic message especially for children and 2) because they're not treating it like a one-off "lesson", seems more like they're setting it up to be the overall message of the season. i like that a lot.

i LOVE the new wands, they're absolutely gorgeous. clearly intended to be merch but i love it. this season draws a lot of inspiration from ojamajo doremi with the musical aspect as well as hugtan's design/presence as a whole but i don't see that as a bad thing. i really love that hana decided the sword wasn't what she wanted for herself and that using it didn't reflect the "type of precure" that she wanted to be, and how that manifested the wands for the three of them. it shows how important your own desires and outlook are for what your life can become. i had some complaints with the show before that i still am not totally past but this episode definitely boosted the rating up for me greatly.

was also cool to get to see ~mysterious older man~ once again

"I'll hug those feelings and keep them close to me"

This episode was definitely a ride. The Precure sword was just as cool as the wands. This season just keeps getting better and better.

These last two episodes are especially warm. I love it, I loved seeing Hana regain her spirit!
She's been chasing the image of being "cool" for so long, and what's cooler than being the hero... a hero WITH A SWORD? It embodies that kind of image. To reject the vision of what "cool" is while creating her own with love and compassion is great storytelling. I was immersed and really didn't expect that kind of moment, let alone that the wands would be music themed. Much needed healing.
