I remember a while back someone said shirley stays alive as a key difference to set up new movies narrative, were these movies different enough to warrant a rewatch, i see Funimation is releasing the dub so may interesting to hear dialogue changes and what not.

But off the bat i think ill pass.

The eureka seven movies interest me more, i think it'll be more like evangelions remakes (minor changes and graphics enhanced) which i didn't enjoy at all, well mainly because evangelion isnt my type of show.

There's hardly any noticeable changes, but if you really loved code geasse like I did, take a trip down memory lane and check out the recaps. I personally enjoyed them

hmmm ok might do so, but i may even wanna watch the series again instead, i remember watching the one piece compilation stuff and feeling like they were rushed and played out key moments but back story was lacking.

You know, it's really interesting.

Because it does take out a couple good scenes from the original show, but the movies also fix a lot of the pacing and tonal issues the original show had.

It takes out almost all of the filler story arcs and all the out of place comedy moments, and adds a few small scenes that give a better gist of the characters and how they relate to each other and the overall story.

I've only watched the first one, but I'd say it was worth watching. It does suffer somewhat for certain events relegated to additional expository scenes, but I liked other elements. Amended character plots for example, which could possibly alter later events slightly. I think it's interesting.
