| OK there are 5 Specials the first one, The Document of Shaman Fight (Yumi no Katachi) is basically a recap made at new year holiday from episode 1 to episode to episode 24, it takes place before Yoh's group goes to america which is just before the episode 25, and is narrated by Manta, Ren, Ryu, Yoh and Amidamaru while spending time in the Asakura house watching a video. The second, The Form that Friendship Takes (Yujo no Katachi) is a recap narrated by Yoh's father with footage from episode 1 to episode 38 but is better watched after episode 42 taking into account we never really heard or see anything about Yoh's father until then. The third special, The Form That Love Takes (Ai no Katachi) is narrated by Ponchi and Conchi and is just another recap but this time of how some characters were presented in the show, it has footage from episode 1 to episode 48 I believe, but I think is best to watch this after the episode 53 which is the episode where the lilys withdraw and it also the episode before Hao starts moving against the x-laws since at the end of the special we see Hao thinking what should be his next step. The fourth special (Omake) is all new footage, not really great quality but is all new. Is a series of shorts involving most of the character in Yoh's group. I recommend watch it at the end of the series but you can watch it after episode 37 which is the episode the last character from Yoh's group is added to the series. The last special, The Form that Sadness Takes: Hao`s Tribute (Kanashimi no Katachi: Hao Densetsu) is basically a recap but this time from Hao's POV. This has footage of Hao in the series until the final episode.
