Jesus Christ, Witch Manasfua got branded as a S-tier criminal. The whole world is probably looking for her soon.

Meanwhile, our guardian MC made a promise which I hope he can keep.

that was actually quite nice.

Hm, the art work felt a little bit rougher around the edges this time around, I wonder if the mangaka will be able to keep up with the weekly serialization at this rate.

This was supposed to be a high stakes chapter, but I was pretty bored. Dragging it out inside a generic hut was a bad move, after the first chapter had some super quick pacing. Nothing that happened in there added to the story in a really meaningful way.

The bell over the wall action scene was a nice idea, but the execution wasn't the best, the panelling and the page layout choices made the scene confusing to follow, which is a shame, since it was easily the highlight of the chapter. (and the whole scene had heavy AOT vibes, undeniably)

I don't know how I feel about the mc being the most OP guy ever, meh, showing his training doesn't really help to cover up the bullshit, the way he ploughs through waves of people has no weight behind it. Oh and of course the witch only has a limited time left to live, another trope that made me roll my eyes, but at least it gives the plot a sense of urgency and it adds another layer to the ultimate goal of the series.

The extra side maid girl character is worthless, pointless and useless, it was a bad idea to make her one of the main characters for the sake of it, it's a terrible idea to have a trio where none of the characters have any personality. Instead of giving the witch more time to shine, a lot of the spotlight is wasted on the maid. The main duo lacks personality, I know this is only two chapters in, but I find it crucial to immediately give action shonen protagonists personality traits that really help them stand out in the long run. Shifting the focus on a pointless third character is already ruining the character dynamic of the duo and I was worried about this from the first chapter.

My overall irrelevant quick fix to this chapter - To add more tension, the author could have killed the maid as the Witch Guardian was struggling through a fight, in a scenario where the maid helps them escape as her last stand, by opening up a secret tunnel or something.

I'm dropping it. I don't like how the manga approached the crucial follow up to a fairly exciting and eventful first chapter that had good pacing.

So the maid knows a way to turn the witch back into a human. Wonder what it will be, but hopefully not the blood of other witches like in Kimetsu no Yaiba. The bell scene was nicely done but the escape had no real obstacles. Couldnt they have called in some top guardians of other city states while they hid in this house?
There was a picture of how she would look like would she have turned into an evil. All changes but her haircut remains, looks funny.
Didnt like that in the last panel the escape on the other side happened off screen and you couldnt see the reactions of the rector or other government people, only the wanted posters.

Such an exciting chapter. This feels so good and fresh.
Also, damn that art. When they were thrown above the wall, that looked so nice!

So in love with the characters, but idk why I feel like Nata won’t survive till the end

Heh, looked like a scene straight out of Attack on Titan.
