The first half of this episode was breathtaking. Especially Kaori playing air-violin.
And the end. Daaang. Can't lie, this was really touching.

I find that it was handled well this episode, with a narrative that has focused on the highlights without getting lost in useless things, with a construction of events reasoned and giving the right spaces to express themselves in terms of time.
Drawings and animations dicreti, touching atmosphere, plot that has done well in inserting albeit late character Nagi.
Great soundtrack, I can not wait to follow the next episode.

Kousei and Kaori will play together again......one last time?? Man :/

great duet but i wish they move kousei's and kaori's relationship up a bit ~_~

They tend to talk in musical terms only. They don't even know each other personally that well :/

Yeah. They say that music can transcend words, but still......I am hoping for a kiss, too.

I was so happy for Nagi in that performance, I love that she has a strong personality and was able to keep up with Kosei. She's warmed up to me now that she's not trying to break all ten of Kousei's fingers.

I wonder how Kaori and Kousei will play together when she can barely hold her violin...

Amazing duet (sold me on Nagi, who I was 'meh' about before), and amazing episode. Takeshi's reaction to Nagi telling him that Kousei has been teaching her all kinds of "experiences" was hilarious.

Seeing Kaori playing air violin and the airhorn keyboard thing with those kids was great, as it shows how much she is still emotionally invested in the music. Kousei and Kaori's talk on the hospital roof was pretty touch, and I can't wait to see them perform again, one last time, together, but I know it's going to be heartbreaking.

Also, Takeshi becoming inspired again after seeing Kousei and Nagi perform together was awesome.

Wow what a beautiful episode. This series has some of the best monologues I've seen in anime.

Why must this anime tug at my heart strings?! She's gonna die, she's gonna die, she's gonna diiiiiiiiiiiie!!! .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·.

Also, Takeshi is a jerk. Your little sister wants your attention and you're only acknowledging Arima.

Kousei vs. Takeshi ¬w¬ I like it.
And the last scene... Firstly, Kaori impulse Kousei. Now, it's turn for Kaori to be impulsed.

Funny thing the version of Commie I m watching doesnt use that phrase, but instead, something like "see together the end of it".

She jsut appeared a couple of episodes ago, but Nagi already grown up in me, and she is cute.
At least as of now Arima as something more to look forward in the future, teach Nagi, because the whole Kaori deal... it seems it will end in tragedy, say what you want but I dunno how it will be possible to end the series is a light positive note.
I foresee alot of ruthless stuff coming.

That performance was sooooo beautifull. After watching this I also wanted to play something xD And... wel, Takeshi behavet like a jerk. His sister showed him her feelings, but he only drew attention on Arima...

And Kaori... still fighting, never give uping xDI admire her smile xD

 Oh god, the opening changed!
Now there's not a blue day sky with clouds and birds but a night sky with falling petals... what does this meeaaan?? :'(

Kousei saying the same good luck words as Kaori does.... sweet.
So that favor was to call her so she can hear him play, wonderfull.

I was surprised and a bit afraid when Kousei "when out control" but Nagi did well!
This episode got more humor and it was well received to relief some of depresion of the previous episodes.

Funny how in the beginning she was the one inspiring Kousei, but now he is the one inspiring Kaori...

Great performance from Kousei and NagI! It was fun to see Takeshi and Emi again, and funny that Nagi turned out to be the SISTER of Takeshi-- not a childhood friend like they first made it seem. And that Watari, such a playboy ;)

I dislike how Nagi's character design is kind of like a mini-Kaori though, I doubt they'll try to paint romance there but if they did it would seem really out of place.

I loved this episode sooo much, it was so sweet and a nice change from the last few depressing episodes <3 I really love all the character development being shown here too, for Nagi, and with Kousei and Kaori especially and how their roles have almost reversed. it's nice to see them inspire each other (and practically almost admit their feelings for each other finally lol)

I don't know why but I just can't feel anything since the Nagi-related episodes. Maybe it's because they introduced her so late, because of how annoying she was, how they portrayed her, but I just couldn't care about the show for the 3 last episodes, at least.
I liked the first part much more, it really feels dragged out since Arima got ove his fears and trauma. I get the point of Nagi as a device for the growth of Arima as a character, but I just can't give a damn about anything related to her.

I liked how when Kousei messed it up, Nagi took over and it turned out AMAZING.

And when Kousei held Nagi's hand, and when Kousei forgot Takeshi's name, Takeshi's reaction was priceless haha.

"Is that guy your boyfriend?" "I can't commit double suicide with u" xD. Lol I ship Kaori and Kousei tho. Koari looks so pale :(

Also, why do I feel like the 2nd ending is more to sadness (because of Kaori maybe?), while the 1st op/ending is more to happiness?

Aside from playing excellently during their duet, Kousei did it in a way to accelerate her growth.

Negi is playing for her brother, Aiza, and it reached him. Kousei is playing for Kaori and it certainly reached her. Making her miss playing her violin. This is followed up by Kousei asking her to play with him once more, as time is limited. (Wow, that's a brilliant way to make Kaori agree to play once more!)

Kousei's and Aiza's rivalry is at a really high point right now, especially since Kousei has recovered more of his piano skills and confidence in playing them.

Why the heck did Arima let that Lolicon lies all sort of things about him ? It's not like Arima is the one that need that Lolicon.

Aiza and Kaori is returning to their old-self.

Well Arima don't have a deathwish so just invite Watari to your double suicide.

I guess it isn't very surprising that the students of such a prestigious music school would recognize Kousei. Rumors of him coming back to playing should have circulated a while ago, I'd think. Was that Emi next to Takeshi? I don't think so, but it almost looked like we were supposed to know who she was. Interesting that what was once a curse is now a distraction. I was worried that Kousei would fuck up the performance again but fortunately, the opposite seems to have happened. It was sweet seeing Kaori play an air violin to the tune of the performance in the hospital. The performance even brought Kaori to tears. Looks like Kousei's mission was accomplished. Shoutout to the guy who yelled, "Marry me!" The animal costumes are still weird. Looks like Takeshi is the one with the sibling complex now. I doubt Kousei sees Nagi as a woman, Takeshi. Whoever wrote the line about precious experiences either needs to be jailed or given a pay raise and I'm not sure which one is more applicable. Seems to me like Takeshi also got the motivation he needed. Since when was Miike a Kousei fanboy? You shouldn't teach children that word, Kaori. Can Kaori even play the violin in that condition?

The performance was so good. Even if Kousei's sound changed drastically... It was really entertaining seeing Nagi keep up and battle it out.

I appreciate Nagi's aspect of playing music. I was similarly when playing the violin. I simply wanted to be there and soak up the experience of playing in an orchestra while pushing my own skills, but knew it wasn't going to be my lifelong goal. I'm glad it shows that side of it.

I care a lot more about the music than the drama. I'm not completely connecting with all of the drama in this show, and I think the non-music parts in the first half were much better. I was hoping to be impressed the whole series but it falls flat here and there, so I already know this it's out of the running for a 10 or 9 and possibly even an 8 if it doesn't wow me in the finale.

Kousei and Nagi's presentation was indeed spectacular but unfortunately, the ever present misplaced comedy killed the perfect atmosphere their performance had settled. Lolicon jokes? really?...

So in the end and leaving my initial indifference aside, Nagi ended up being a quite interesting character, being honest. Sure, she's still a brat and I won't forget the fact that she wanted to break all of Kousei's fingers when they met but that said, I found her character growth to be rather pleasant.

By the way, there are just 4 episodes left and we still don't have the slightest clue about what illness Kaori has and if it's the same Kousei's mother had.

That performance was beautiful. At first, I thought it was disastrous for Kousei to suddenly go off the rails like that, especially for Nagi who's really nervous. But it only served to push Nagi and make her better, and they did earnestly put their soul into their performance.

I like how Nagi and Kousei's relationship has developed. She went from being completely hostile to now respecting him so much, to the point where she would not stand for that brat Miike's calling Kousei so casually. It seems Miike wants to be friends (?) (or maybe interact with) Kousei too. Glad to see that Kousei's making waves again, this time not as a robot or puppet or the human metronome, but as a great pianist overall.

It's been a while since we've seen the bright and lovely Kaori. Her air-playing the violin was sad, but when she sung Twinkle Twinkle Little Star there on the roof with those, I assume, also sick kids, that was beautiful. To be honest, when I first heard her sing it I cringed a bit because of how it was pronounced (not the Japanese's fault of course, it's just how Japanese phonology works), and again when she sang it with Kousei, but this was the first time that I truly thought it was beautiful, because it was her being happy and joyful again.

It seems Kousei knows that she doesn't have much time left. Just one more performance with her, just one more. She's been depressed ever since she couldn't play the violin again, and for someone who knows they're going to die soon, what is the point of having dreams? But with Kousei's help, she can dream again, even if it is only for a short time. Kaori's done so much to help Kousei. It's time Kousei gives back and help her when she needs him.

I hope Kousei can truly express his feelings to Kaori before the inevitable happens.

Only four more episodes left...?
