Heh, the ending was so Shibito-like, just like half of the stories - it felt unfinished or like the ending has been cut off. I liked it overall but that part of it was rather frustrating.

That's the point of the ending.
The second part of the volume is showing the readers that the comic is just a part of much, much larger myth so drawing a ridiculous fight wouldn't make any sense.

Also, why the heck would anyone reading this series (or any Hiyodori Sachiko's manga) care about proper conclusions?

The death snake things disappearing heavily implied Kishida would win. He seemed a lot more confident than normal and the relationship between him and Hayakawa was concluded so I’d say that part was satisfying as a conclusion but I dislike how Ghost and Yashiro’s arcs didn’t reach a conclusion. I feel like Ghost dying at the hands of Kishida would have been satisfying, especially considering how she might react to such a twist of fate. I’m happy with the way it ended but still I agree that there was potential for a greater conclusion. I won’t let this hamper the overall quality of the manga though, because I think a long conclusion doesn’t fit Usuigu’s episodic style anyways.
